might sound goofy but im looking for some wide running boards. not blade style or factory ( i still have my factory)
i currently have Tyger Star Amor on right now i love the build and style for the most part. i covered the logo and stars with grip tape. the finish is starting to come off and i have rust spots.

im trying to decide if i want to take these off and refinish them or just get new ones. time and cost to refinish the old is about the same as buying new to me.
i dont need the step my wife and father do. im also looking at these for hopefully door ding protection as well . show me what you have and what you like about them

Not a running board exactly, but steps. I needed them for myself and my wife, so being wide and low were the important factors. They have worked out well. Not sure that's an option for you but thought I'd share.

They seem to help prevent door dings from regular sized cars (now if they could stop acorn dings on our thin-shelled Rangers ...).

This is for a supercab but similar exist for crew cabs. Good luck! =)

I've got the stock running boards, and they've worked quite well for us. Like you, I don't really need them myself (5'10"), but the wife (5'2"), kids, and my mother all rely heavily on them to get in and out of the truck.

They also saved the truck from what could have been a very costly Starbuck's run; details and pics here: https://www.ranger5g.com/forum/threads/straightening-a-runner-board.21302/

i still have the factory ones in the attic. im looking for something with a non stock look the truck is going to have a few body mods.

i was leaning at aps iarmor steps and ironbison steps.

I have the GoRhino RB20 steps, i'm quite pleased with them. They tuck up nicely to the body, but also stick out far enough to prevent door dings from lesser vehicles. Plus they look like Raptor steps and are bedlined.

I also have the factory boards on my stock hight SuperCrew. At 5-10 I don't need then but my 5-1 wife uses then all the time. Having them was a condition of getting the truck. ?

As far as your comment about preventing door dings. With the amount of tuck under on most vehicles these days. You could not make them wide enough. And no step is going to protect from a raised SUV or truck. Just get what your wife/father need and you can live with.
