Then I bet the SuperCab ones will work on them too.

I just pulled mine off and stored them behind the seat in the rare case I have a rear passenger. Much better visibility.

I've got a set of the Stone (tan) colored from the scab. They fold, but after I modded them, with the dowel rod. If you're interested, let me know and we can work something out for shipping and handling ;)

Just an FYI, the headrests on the 5G SuperCrews only folded for the 2019 model year. Mine from 2020 are fixed. Same problems as yours.
My 6/2020 build SCab headrests did not fold, but had all of the internal folding mechanism minus the button. These are the version that folks added the DIY dowel rod push button for folding.

My original headrests were never installed. Dealer prep left them on the floor in the rear seat. Appeared that the seat backs would need to be removed to provide clearance above for installation. Planning to never have rear seat passengers, I tossed them in a garage cabinet together with the rear lower seat cushions.

In March of 2022, I received an "Important Safety Recall" letter from FMC.
Compliance Recall Notice 21C24
NHTSA Recall 21V756

Dealer ordered new folding headrests, installed them, all for $0. They have been installed twice on the very rare occasion that someone rides in our rear seats.

Ford cut costs by moving to non-folding, got burned by a safety recall, then went back to the original folding design. ?‍♂

Recall notice attached below.

Not if you take them out before going in for the recall. I still have my old ones, and they never asked for them back.

I have an Oct build 2020, and mine folded after the dowel rod mod.

Even before ordering new ones, my dealer told me they needed to return the old ones. ?‍♂

Huh, ok. They never said anything about mine being missing. I scheduled the airbox replacement, headrest recall, and seatbelt recall all in one trip, and either they forgot, or didn't care.

How did you get those out?Mine don't have enough room overhead to pull out.

I don't recall exactly, I think I was just able to bend them down gently as I kept working them out and finally got it.

You have to unbolt the seat back. There's a bolt under the child seat strap between the headrest posts. Before the headrest recall on my SuperCab, I had removed it because it interfered with my daughter's booster seat. You don't have to remove the bolt all the way.
If your SuperCab doesn't have folding headrests, it should be part of the recall.

Yeah, I think I probably did that, now that you mention it.

I miss my folding rear headrests for sure. Is it hard to add back a deleted item like this to the super crew?

I just added them to my 2024 Ranger SuperCrew, so I assume you can buy them and install them in a 5G as well. I started this thread to try and figurer out if they would work.

cheap set of Ebony Cloth ones on eBay
Bet the same seller has a deal on Ranger tail lights too. Wouldn't surprise me if they also have some deals on Cat converters for other vehicle models.
