okay, I have to ask.....what part of Florida gets a lot of snow, salt & brutal winters ?
Florida is listed as your location.................................
Welp. I guess that goes to show how long I’d ghosted this page and forgot about it (I guess that’s a testament to reliability for me too lol) I’ve been in upstate NY now 5 years I’m off to figure out how to fix that

edit: fixed

I'm pulling the rear bumper off to put a stealth bumper off. If you're close to tucson you could have it cheap.
I appreciate it but I’m on the complete opposite diagonal side of the country.

I taught my youngest son how to drive in my then 4 month old Ranger and I was a nervous wreck the whole time. A lady blasted through a stop sign right in front of us and I yelled stop so loud that the pedestrians next to us started laughing. Somehow the Ranger survived the drivers training experience without a scratch.

I’ve had more than a few of those moments. Just recently in town some woman came blasting out the Burger King drive thru exit without even slowing down. Grace of the good lord we didn’t get T-boned. I always joke “let them hit me I’ll take a new truck on their dime” everyone’s so glued to their phones while driving I’m surprised there aren’t more accidents. We have that no cell phone law up here have for like two decades - doesn’t help a thing.

Just wanted to say thanks for the help @LevittownFordParts.com helped get me squared right away with stuff. Now I’m off to Amazon to find one of those Wylie E Coyote “splat” marks to slap on the tailgate once I get it back on bc welp if imma have a dent for a short bit till I find a nice tailgate that matches at a yard I may as well have a bit of humor about it.

BLASPHEMY!!!! If you ever see either of those in my driveway you’ll know I’ve passed on

The “Danger MF Ranger” as they’ve aptly named it has been a good choice for them to learn on tbh for a number of reasons. If anything driving it alone has changed their minds about the size vehicle they actually want after initially them wanting what all teenage boys want (little imports modded out that their skill won’t allow them to properly handle in various situations - I was there once lol) the two oldest are now looking at mid-full size vehicles after driving their friends cars (compacts) - the experience with a larger, heavier vehicle has them yearning for something much safer and I can’t shake a stick at that experience for them.

As for the shenanigans with blue - I live in the sticks, lots of dirt and gravel roads, brutal winters with insane amounts of salt, sand, and just about any other abrasive known to man, I could go on and on - point being I knew she was gonna get beat to heck the minute I signed the paperwork (tbh part of the reason I bought her and it’s been invaluable to me for all of the work on this house I’ve been doing on my own).

I’m gonna run her till the wheels fall off. I reckon it’ll be another 3-4 winters and she’ll be ready to go to “winter/I need to carry something status” and I’ll either buy another one or I might just buy a spring/summer/fall toy for myself (I’ve always wanted a new pony gt), or the youngest will be heading off to college or trade school then and it’ll get passed on to them and give me an excuse to buy another. I got options my friend
You've got a great attitude about the use your truck sees.
In checking your threads I learned about Engineering Test Mode .
Interesting I bought my CPO '19 XLT Thanksgiving week of 2019 .

Taught 4 boys on a 93 Caprice wagon. You have my sympathy.... I honestly feel todays vehicles are less fixable... The Caprice was a beast.... It won the battles with what it hit... Just had to find a good wheel shop to bend out a ton of bent rims over the years

Hey oh everyone. Welp I’m teaching the kids how to drive and it’s certainly been an adventure. The youngest (16) first driving lesson had a minor panic and confused the brake and gas pedal in reverse and took out the neighbors fence post, left a dent in the bumper and took out part of the tailgate which was down as we were unloading some stuff with it down.

I’m gonna need some parts to get the tailgate back on (I’m not even gonna bother with an insurance claim right now 3 teenage boys have done enough to my premiums as it is and I’m almost positive there’s gonna be a few more “incidents” I’ll just wait till I find one in a yard to replace the bumper and tailgate)

first pic is the damage to the bumper, second is the tailgate (luckily the top of it took the brunt). Third pic is the plastic part I need to find for the other side, fourth pic is the other side missing the plastic. Fifth pic is the one side on the tailgate which seems to have plastic parts the other side is missing in the sixth pic. So basically I need a bunch of plastic parts in order to get the tailgate back on.

Thanks in advance for any help helping me source part numbers for these plastic parts.
