Hi all,
Curious if anyone has wired up the 3rd brake light on an SP and their Ranger and has any guidance they can share. Just put down a deposit on mine and should have it around May.
Thanks in advance!
I have. SP does most of the work for you and leaves you about a meter of cable in the left rear of the unit. I used posi-tap connectors and merged them with the brake light wiring harness of the driver side tail light. There’s a diagram floating around on the forum that calls out all the wires in the harness. It only took me about 45min total.

The SP will come with a diagram in the Box they give you with your invoice, stickers, warranty sheet ECT. But if you have to do it yourself, pop a taillight out, its the Red and black wire in the upper left corner of the plug. IIRC the white on the black and Red will be the Brake light, the Yellow is the running light, don't hook that up, it will look like you have the brakes on all the time with your running lights.

What color did you go with?
Black w/ the Navy/Oyster Tent. I think Tan would have looked pretty cool, but everything else on my truck is blacked out, so went with black.

I really like the green and blue color they have, but don't think they would go well with the truck color... ?

Overdue....lol. Last week trip in Souther Utah and Moab. Loving it so far. Things that I did very quickly; I got rid of my Decked that was in there, just wasn't enough room; got a ladder, with two people getting in and out, so much easier. Other than that, rained on, no issues....40mph winds in Moab no issues. I drove around 2k miles on this trip and avg mph (per the dash) was 19.5, I was impressed with that. Any questions let me know.

When you say not enough room, do you mean for storage?

I like the idea of the decked but I think it takes so much away from the bed...

What are your build out plans for the inside?
