Other day while me and the boy were running errands in the Ranger , wifey calls and said to go get one of those "flat griddle grill things" and "get the biggest" so a Blackstone 36" griddle came home in the Ranger , I was skeptical ? because I like the flame ?, been cooking with the ? for my whole life and never worked in a restaurant so a flat griddle was odd to me... THAT ALL CHANGED this evening after the onions and mushrooms we just got off there , damn , pretty awsome ?, burnt some stuff the first time or two but it got a workout this evening , so far , I don't miss the flame , but I haven't done any thick steaks yet , so we will see ...

It's a whole seasoning thing you have to do. And like I said the taste bleeds over to the next meal. I'm thinking of selling mine but maybe I will give it another shot this spring.

Oh and some screw holes were missing threads. Brackslone grill.

Yeah, it just seems like a big outdoor frying pan. Good to avoid the mess of frying on the kitchen stove I guess, but otherwise I don't see the appeal.

10-4 My son does 80% of the family's cooking on theirs. Periodic seasoning and scraping it totally clean after each use eliminates the taste bleed-over. I do the same on my Lodge cast iron cookware, and I don't get salmony pork sirloins.

Lucky for me then , cause I cooked BACON ? on mine ! BACON ?!!!
FOREVER!!!
I have a big ole cast iron fry pan and a cast iron griddle that I use on my regular grill if I want to get the same effect as a Blackstone. Grill at least 2-3 times a week through out the year, even during winter.
Looked at a Blackstone awhile back, but it dosen't do any better than my cast iron stuff....and I can still skewer my veggies on the regular open grill at the same time...gotta get those good grill marks !!!

EVERYTHING tastes better with bacon....even bacon tastes better with more bacon.
I love BB&B sandwiches...Bacon & Bacon & Bread !!!
Try taking a piece of cube steak, pound it out real thin....chop up some onions and peppers and roll them up in the cube steak. Get some thick sliced bacon and wrap up the rolled up cube steak. Grill it till done to your liking and enjoy !!!

Bacon is the answer to any question. Including, what can you NOT eat when you have Alpha-Gar? Bacon.
Edit: I mean Alpha-Gal. Just got diagnosed. Not cool.

That was my pushback with wifey , no flame "kisses" , may get a small grill to buddy up beside the Blackstone for just such occasions ...
I have a Weber Q1000 that goes camping with us. Use it almost every day when on the road.....have a small cast iron griddle for it to make bacon, grilled cheese....whatever needs a griddle to cook.
