First glamping of the year up at Blackrock Mountain state park. Was hoping for some snow, but all I got a was some very light very cold rain. Stayed bone dry in the RTT - got some very very light condensation on the driver side wall. Passenger side stayed dry, but I suspect that is due to that is the side the small 600w electric heater was on. lol

@OFC Ranger any more thought if you are biting the bullet on the Tune M1? How has the ZR2 been treating you? I had an order for one but once I bought the LRA tank for the ranger I cancelled it as I have to much invested at this point. I will add a front locker and gears by the end of this year most likely.

ZR2 has been running fine. Nothing major to report.

Yes I plan to still purchase the Tune M1, but it will be closer towards the end of the year.

My immediate mods list I am working on;

- RTR Tech6 Wheels custom powder coated satin tan
- Peak Suspension Leaf Helpers
- E-Throttle Controller (undetermined on brand)
- Victory 4x4 Dash Mount Insert (should be releasing this week)
- AEV Snorkel Intake (currently being developed)
- 35" Tires (255/85/17 Baja Boss)

Ah, I just realized a user on the Tune M1 facebook group page finally got around to posting a video with their new ZR2 install.

Lucky me same color as mine. Love it.

Looks like the ZR2 fitment of the M1 w/King bed extensions and roof fan comes out to right at about 500lbs. Not to bad, but that is where the leaf helpers will take over.

So nothing new really, just a small rant;

Almost every canopy camper company is based out west. While not my top choice, I am considering a Project M simply based on fact has an authorized dealer/installer in North Carolina ( a long single day trip).

I think Allu Cab even has authorized dealers on the east coast too, but they are by far the most expensive option.

I was also looking at the new Harkar Outdoor canopy, but looks like they are on Utah - which is even farther than Tune Outdoor in Colorado. I think to go out there and back would be another 1,000 miles round trip (4,000 total) beyond getting a Tune M1.

Part of me is like "buy once, cry once" the other part of me is like...

@OFC Ranger - I believe the first time you had mentioned wanting a canopy you expressed interest in having it shipped freight and then having someone local install it or even install it yourself. Have you already exhausted all these options? I'd be really surprised to not find a single seller willing to ship. This is hopefully obviously assuming all fees are agreed and settled. By fees I just mean the normal "getting it on a pallet" handling fees.

Well with Tune Outdoor I think because they are so new they want to absolutely make sure their product is installed properly. If your product draws up any unintended negative problems due to a third party installer it can really hurt a fresh company.

Good news is after some poking and prodding I found out they are going to have an authorized east coast installer operational in VA after march. This is going to cut a 3,000 mile round trip down to a 900 mile round trip.
