I had a white board in my office before retiring. When I was getting close to my retirement date, I wrote the date on the board. Underneath the date I wrote "Or three bad days in a row". My superior want to know if I was serious and told him I was dead serious. Turns out, he left me alone after that...Never!!!! Lord willing & the creek don’t rise….May 31st is my retirement day!

I certainly won't have that problem! I cannot possibly imagine what they would offer me to stay that I would find enticing enough. Don't let them guilt you into staying longer - take what you have earned and enjoy it.
I'm looking forward to being busy doing the things I want to do in retirement. I've been working non stop for 44 years now (minus normal weekly vacations - I've never been unemployed), and I'm about ready for a long break.
