Seems like the Author Curt is a stand up guy. Much more that most people in America."flopping aces" is certainly the carefully reasoned and well cited source I go to for all my energy policy questions
what does that have to do with expertise in energy policy?Seems like the Author Curt is a stand up guy. Much more that most people in America.
To clarify, the opinion piece was first published on The American Thinker. Flopping aces simply picked up on it."flopping aces" is certainly the carefully reasoned and well cited source I go to for all my energy policy questions
No.Does your traffic sector include aircraft and shipping as well? I believe both aircraft and shipping dwarf auto emissions.
But your rationale is on target. Time to go back to 1850...
IMO, one of the big problems in our country today is that people base their willingness to listen to what people have to say on whether they are saying something the person wants to hear, rather than whether the speaker knows what they're talking about. If someone posts something you really agree with, with absolutely astounding numbers, and cites nothing, it's probably just clickbait. To clarify, the opinion piece was first published on The American Thinker. FWIW, (IMO) Flopping Aces has more credibility than the US Gov and the MSM.
I have never before visited Fopping Aces, so I give them the benefit of the doubt, and treat them as neutral.
But I have much experience visiting the professionals, and I have zero trust in our "official" government punditry proclamations. Hence I have restrained myself from visiting Gov or MSM sites, as I can digest only so much.... um, BS. It gives me indigestion.
Besides, I know plenty of local amateur liars who spin more convincing lies than the Gov and MSM professionals, and are much more entertaining to boot!
Critical thinking skills are not optional. You need to read, not listen or see. The data is out there. Don't limit yourself to one viewpoint. Collect, discern, and seek truth. A hard ask with propaganda pouring out every orifice of society, government, media, etc.IMO, one of the big problems in our country today is that people base their willingness to listen to what people have to say on whether they are saying something the person wants to hear, rather than whether the speaker knows what they're talking about. If someone rants about "the Gov" and "MSM" in the process, it's even less likely in my experience to be well researched and grounded in facts.
I think hybrids are the best of both worlds. The new Mazda CX-90 with the Turbo Inline 6 with (electric) power boost is a great automobile. 30mpg in luxury, outstanding fit and finish inside and out. I've test driven one - WonderfulI'd rather have a hybred. Too much has to come into the picture for me to want an EV.
The truckers and protesters going down there should be wary if someone with a name like "Jay Reps" tells them "We need to go into the border! Into the border!"Critical thinking skills are not optional. You need to read, not listen or see. The data is out there. Don't limit yourself to one viewpoint. Collect, discern, and seek truth. I have a very strong sense that we are all being deluded, and lead.
For instance, the latest stink about immigration... Texas Governor put Texas Nat'l Guard at the Park blocking entry of illegals. Biden counters with threats. 25 states back up the Texas Gov. Makes great headlines. Yet 1/2 mile north from that park the 12' wall gate is open, no ICE or NG to be seen guarding that dirt road.
There is a plan at work. And we are all being manipulated to an end. To what end? I haven't the foggiest notion, except that my gut tells me that it doesn't have my best interests at heart. Or yours...
"In politics, nothing happens by accident. If it happens, you can bet it was planned that way."
- FDRThink what you will. It is a free country (At least they say it is - I'd argue that it is not free at all)
For now. By the time most Americans wake up to reality, it may well be too late.
Another problem is everyone loves to cite "experts" an ignore the actual effects on peoples lives.IMO, one of the big problems in our country today is that people base their willingness to listen to what people have to say on whether they are saying something the person wants to hear, rather than whether the speaker knows what they're talking about.
