Hi all, Does anyone know what type of plug the Wolf Haus rectangle mount comes with? There is the cigarette type one and then the one with the two prong. Is the two prong one propriatary Wolf House or is it one you can purchace at any automotive/marine store?

I pulled mine out to look at it. The marking CXA on the connector is I think a SwitchCraft part. Most likely it's exactly this: Switchcraft EN3 polarized 2-pin harsh environment connector: https://www.switchcraft.com/en3-harsh-environment-panel-mount-2-contact-female-crimp/en3p2f16cx/
Thanks @reidmefirst , I have a wolf haus on its way and trying to see what options are out the to make connections. I order it with the pigtail so I can make whatever I’d like but thinking of the future. Yes certainly looks like a Switchcraft EN3. I appreciate the gumshoe work on this. I could not find anything on the web.

You bet. The only thing that's bothering me about it: the CXA connector specifies a 13 amp max current while WolfHaus says 20 amps. That's quite a bit of difference, and I'm beginning to think it's a different connector from SwitchCraft (either that or WolfHaus is overstating the rating, and given what I know of the fellow I doubt he would do that ;-)). You might look at the technical drawing from SwitchCraft and find that it is a different connector from them, with a bigger gauge pin that is rated for more current...

Regardless of the rating of the connector itself, so yourself a favor and find out the rating for that circuit. If not mistaken the plug on the truck for that accessory is only 15 AMPs. If that is the case do not exceed 15 AMPs

After much looking on the web... There are so many types of plugs with different specifications, I feel like I'm begining to shoot in the dark. If one were to make their own cable, I believe this would fit in the socket: https://www.switchcraft.com/en3-harsh-environment-cable-mount-2-contacts-male-crimp/en3c2mcx/
Uff, I am not an electrician, but I do like to DIY. I'd hate to get it wrong:

Chances are you will be fine. With the stuff you already purchased it is rated for up to 20 AMPS anyway. Since you will only have power with key on back there I'm going to say it's safe that you won't have much being run off that connector anyway

For sure.

And actually reading the WolfHaus description again, it's "20 amps for bare wires" (basically the max current of 14 gauge wire) or 15 amps for the 16 gauge wire. Which might be overstating the rating for SwitchCraft connector slightly (15A should be 13A).

If you're paranoid, put a 13A fuse in line with whatever you're powering.

I have more doubts that that is it because it has pins for 20 gauge wire, while the wolfhaus specifies 16 gauge wire to their connector.

Pick up one of the each of the EN3 connector types, worst case you'll waste a couple of bucks? :). You could also ask the fellow, he was quite responsive to my questions in the past. and he does pop in this forum sometimes.

Good thinking on the fuse option! Now I'm torn between DIY option or just purchacing another pig tail from Wolf Haus. It is such a great innovative product, can't wait to install it. I'm going to splice into the line behind the bed wall and run a toggle switch to the 20mm hole next to the tailgate to power some bed lights. (a tip I got from this forum) I've learned so much in the short time I've been on it.

You can also just ask me! lol

Male connector: https://www.digikey.com/en/products/detail/conxall-switchcraft/3182-3PG-3DC/526181

Female connector: https://www.digikey.com/en/products...196?s=N4IgTCBcDaICwEYAcYC0YDKBxVBmADPiALoC+QA

Dust cover: https://www.digikey.com/en/products/detail/conxall-switchcraft/4295/1869519

These are 20AMP Rated and use 14AWG wire. ALL my products (now) use all 14AWG and are rated for the max rating of that power port.

The Conxall parts are all soldered connections. The OEM connector is crimped.

Thanks @WLFPIR8, looking forward to installing your product. In hind sight I should have ordered you split version for running my lights but I kinda like the challenge. Sweet website by the way.

Thanks! Squarespace, and having a good friend who's also a graphic designer helps... lol

@WLFPIR8 - I also regret not getting the dual outlet/pigtail version for bed lighting.

What’s your suggestion? Splice/solder a pigtail in?
