Who actually has upgraded their injectors? I maxed out my stock ones and need to get bigger ones. I understand that my HPFP and in tank pump are also near their limit but for now I’m just looking to change injectors. Does anyone have real experience on a Ranger? I’m seeing that the factory Focus RS had bigger injectors than our trucks but I’m not sure how big or even if they plug in. Otherwise I’m looking at Nostrum or Xdi, I already know that DW is junk but kinda leery about using the other two options as well.

Not too sure who has changed them before, but I'm curious why you are questioning the two brands mentioned above?

Because I have no information about the drivability, reliability or tuneability of them. They are expensive I don’t see much information about them for our trucks.

How much power are you pushing at the moment? If you are already concerned about driveability then it may be a good point to stop increasing the power for that reason alone. Not trying to be discouraging, just trying to make sense of it all

I’m around 355/390 to the wheels. I’m using E30 and would like to be closer to 400/400 and run more ethanol.

I'm not too sure of the exact strength of the 2.3, but if you are putting that much too the wheels I can promise you that you are doing just fine and should probably stop adding power for reliability reasons. From stock that is already a HUGE Gain in Performance

I’m aware of what I’m doing, thanks though. Not my first rodeo.

Injector Dynamics was always my go to for big Ford port injectors because of the quality of the injector data they had. The data made it easy to plug and play in your calibration file. Doesn't look like they have stepped into the direct injection market. As long as the injector comes with validated flow data specifically for the Ford strategy, it would probably be good option.

We use ID injectors all the time, they don’t make direct injection components. Their stuff is on point.
A high flow direct injector is usually an existing injector modified to flow better and they are many times tough to tune, the injector data supplied often is inaccurate and sometimes makes driveability and even engine longevity a problem.

Given that info, I think you are on the right track with finding another Ford proven option. Like you, the Focus RS or the Mustang 2.3 high performance might be the most likely to plug and play. Wonder if the RS or Mustang 2.3 high performance had a larger capacity injector pump or altered pump cam lobes?

The all have 4 lobe cams, the HPFPs have different part numbers but I don’t know what they flow. I know I’m running over 3000psi and not losing pressure yet but my injectors are done. I’m sure I’ll need a pump once I get injectors but I’m doing one thing at a time to be thorough.

3000 psi is number i captured on my iDash in this pic. I have seen it higher than that too just watching. My truck is not tuned.

Any experience with the Mountune injectors and upgraded pumps?
