Today was (PM) Preventive Maintenance Day

I pulled the plugs and put a small amount of Anti-Seize on the threads @ 8,700 miles.
No water in the wells or corrosion noted. Plugs looked great.
I did take a quick peek at the valves with the Borescope, no issues noted.
Note: No issues with misfire Etc, just wanted to PM the plugs should I ever encounter water in the wells, plugs came out with ease, and installed them to specs 106 in lbs
I did not encounter issues others have had with #4 COP in getting it out or reseated, it just takes extra care to route and seat properly due to the HPFP fuel line in the way.

I also tackled the mouse prevention screen on the Air Inlet Cowl.
Used a 120 Grit sanding screen and some HVAC Tape. Hard to make it look pretty with such a small space for access. (but it works)
Note: I park in garage, but still wanted to take the extra step to prevent entry into the cab. No rodent evidence noted in the engine bay either.

As the cowl was put back together, I added some RTV in the seam between the (2) halves, not pictured. This is the water drip point down to the top of the engine, again this was just an extra step of PM to prevent any water making it down to the spark plug wells.
I added some flashing tape over the seam as well.

I tested out my new Coolant Tank/ Cap adapters that I added to my 35 Yr. old snap on tester.
I have tried a few other brand testers over the years, and they all fall flat as compared to the Snap-On. So, when the need comes for them, I have them.
I always hated that there was not just one set for all makes and years, and of course the Ranger is different and required a new set. (One Snap-On & One MAC) since Snap-On was out of stock for the Tank Adapter.

License plates... Explain.
I've been a German teacher, so they're German plates. The letters on the left represent the city the plate is from. B= Berlin. LB is Ludwigsburg where I spent a semester in Grad school. The numbers and letters on the right are important dates for us. In Germany you don't choose the city letters, but the rest is fair game if no one else has it.

Did the "every 5000 mile" oil and filter change in prep for rv trip starting next week. Ford filter and synthetic 5W30 oil, of course.
Bought some of those magnet's some of you have been raving about to re-attach the water shield and used them....nice.

Actually installed the Clearview mirrors (CVNGFDEVHFSIEB) last weekend on my 2020 Lariat. Wanted to give everyone a heads up if you have the Eagle 4x4 autofold mirror module installed. Not sure what the current draw for the Clearview mirror motor to fold them is (Atlantic British couldn't tell me either) but, you could lose the autofold function. Mine let the magic smoke out  and will no longer autofold. I removed it and reconnected the factory connector to the manual switch and the mirrors will fold. They have the blind spot mirror to see vehicles beside you but, if you want to see the rear wheels or along the side of the truck as well you'll need to put an additional round spot mirror on them. You can't see both with these mirrors. Does anyone have these mirrors and know of an after-market autofold that works with them?

My Lariat came with the auto fold OE mirrors, so the ClearView's worked perfectly .
Not familiar with the module or how its hooked up....does it use OE wiring or does it "piggy back" onto the wiring ?
Just might be that the ClearView's aren't compatible with an aftermarket module.
