NY background check to buy ammo starts soon. You will be responsible to pay the background check fee. Stock up now if you're in NY.
Wow, I thought all the antigun states had this already. I feel like a freak here in Cali when I save my money, create my list, wait for the sale, and buy 500 rounds at once for one minuscule purchase tax. What a stupid system.

Look at this sexy chunk!
2023-09-08 08.28.10-1.jpg

$41! I'm actually surprised by how solid and well-constructed it feels. The metal slide does have a cheap ring to it when you tap on it. The trigger is nowhere near as bad as I was expecting. This particular gun is soiled heavily with gunky grease and what looks like Cheeto dust (dirt?). Also, the last round hold-open is not functioning. It's also very porky for only eight rounds of capacity!

So far, I've field stripped it (requires knocking out a roll pin in the rear of the receiver), and I have only cleaned areas of metal-on-metal contact, bore-snaked the barrel, lubed it, and reassembled it.

This is going to be fun to play with! ?

For info, the proper name for Cheeto Dust is "Cheetle".
Could be a selling point if you ever want to sell...."lovingly protected by a thick coat of Cheetle" !!!

I saw a video where they Were trying to blow up a highpoint. They screwed a bolt into the end if the barrel and fired a round. Blew the bolt out and kept firing.

Cheetoe's have all the nutritional requirements needed by a beer drinking, pot-bellied male, slightly balding, who has a powered recliner, and watches football on Saturday's !!!
WAIT--I just described... ME !!!
And, (hanging head in shame) I like Bud Light !!!

I actually watched that...don't know why. I wonder now if any or all of those would fire a 2nd round and then some without issues. I think that might have been a better test/show.

bought a used Hi-Point C9
My brother bought one an it would jam a lot. I never tried polishing it or anything. My first hand gun was a hi point 40 cal an it always fired. Never gave me a problem. I sold it for a M&P 40.

I always wanted a kel tec sub 2000 but could not find one
I have one an it's pretty fun but I have to lean my head so far an down so much it's a pain to shoot. It will not feed aluminum case. During the ammo shortage I bought some an the kel tec said no thanks. I paid the new price for a used sub 2000 but that's what I had to do to get one. I had the hi point 9mm carbine an it was a tank. I sold it to my nephew an it's still running strong.
