I'm looking to get some wires from the dashboard tray to somewhere below the steering wheel.
From here...

To anywhere here.

Is there a way to fish the wire down/up without have to remove any additional dash pieces?

Thanks in advance!

I did for an external speaker for my HAM radio.

it was painfully slow blindly fishing a piece of wire from some 12-2 I had laying around.

oh, shinning a flashlight up seemed to help if I remember.

Awesome thanks for the info. I was too lazy to go grab some proper wire last night, so I was just blindly pushing a spare 1/8" aux cable I found in my glovebox around from the top using my phone light which wasnt cutting it... it was wholly unsuccessful and the pinnacle of laziness considering my work truck was 10 feet away with reels of wire, good flashlight and such.?

Ill grab some better supplies and try again tonight or tomorrow. Thanks.

I want to run the same route, but for a HAM radio head unit.

Do you have a remote head and if so, where did you mount the radio?

Kinda off topic, but isn't that where the Tremor auxiliary switches go? Anyone know if the switch panel can be bought separately, possibly w/ wiring? Didn't realize that panel was removable. I'm planning auxiliary lights and stuff in the future and I would really love an OEM setup.

Maybe Benny @LevittownFordParts.com has more info. ?

Yes that is where the upfitter switches go for a tremor. If I didn't already love the dash setup I have with builtright and bulletpoint mounting accessories, I'd be doing the same thing you're asking about.

I don't know what the tremor wiring setup is to those switches, and hoped someone had an easy path to route wires down/up to that area.

I would think hose switches can be added. But haven't done the work to have any part numbers available.

The lightforce lower fascia is a nice alternative. I may add that to clean up my switch setup as I add more stuff.

Goodluck! Keep us posted.

Oops, maybe poor wording on my part... no switch setup from them, but I utilized their dash accessory plate for mounting my phone and stuff.

Now I'm looking to snake a wire up through the dash piece for the after market front camera I'm going to install and mount to the Builtright plate.

That's pretty cool! I watched the vid for that panel as well, smart design.

It’s all wires. Matters not if it’s for a radio, camera or chicken cannon.

I jut did the same a few weeks ago for a bunch of wires, but from the passenger side. It's very easy from the passenger side to run the wires, but you have the extra step of dropping or removing the glove box. I removed mine because it's only 2 slide pins that hold it in, and was easier to just get it out of the way. The worst part was reaching up to disconnect the damper, but I don't think 22's have it, so even easier. Oh, and my passenger seat was also out, so I could lay down on the passenger floor to see what I was doing up there.

The first group of wires I sent a single 14G wire in the front right hole (my red arrow) and it has easy pass through above the dash vent, then it's wide open up there. You may need a grabby tool or hook of some sort to reach up and grab it, then attach your other wires and fish them up.

The second set of wires I used springy, reachy, grabby, flexi-tool thingy, and sent it in the rear right side hole (yellow arrow) aiming it toward the back of the truck and to the passenger side. It fed in very easily and popped out beside the glove box. This one was even easier, didn't even need to lay down to see it hanging in the center area, to the left of the glove box opening. Attach wires and gently pull them up. One wire had a bulky end connection, so I wrapped that in tape to prevent it catching on any of the plastic edges.

You may be able to use the flexi tool on the driver' side well, I haven't looked up there, but it's pretty easy to run the wires under the dash to the passenger side and up.

? that wasn't even a complete thought on my end... I started typing it, walked away, came back to reply to another comment and it was hiding at the top of the box.

Obviously all good information for anyone looking to route wires in a similar fashion. I was just trying to be a smart a**. Lol. What a waste ?‍♂.
