Was glancing thru E-Bay a few days ago and found a listing for a new engine cover at a price of $72.15, $3.82 tax, and $13 shipping. From a Ford dealer, Woltz & Wind Ford in Pa.
Took a chance and bought it, and sure enough, its new in box, with hardware.
Delivered today by Big Brown Truck....
So, it looks like there are still some deals out there, or at least dealers who aren't out to screw you over.

It's apparently new/old stock as the ### match up with the cover/kit combo.
My dilemma.....
Should I mount/use it ???
Keep it new in box for future sale as an obsolete part to someone 20 years from now ???
List it on the next Mecum Auction and have a Reserve of $1000.00 ???
Decisions decisions decisions !!!!!

Nice snag. I just struck out on ebay. Went to the dealers site but of course that just throws you into Ford's parts site and the $224 covers. :crying:

Warden shot me down :curse: a while back when I was all geared up to buy another Tremor wheel for the spare. But if I could find a deal on an engine cover that would slide right under the radar.

I actually had just googled "2021 Ford Ranger engine cover"....you know how when you do a google search it will bring up pictures or photos of the item....
Did that and when scrolling thru the pics, this one came up, with the price and from a Ford Dealer.
Clicked it and it brought me to E-Bay. Figured when I hit the buy it, it would come up as out of stock.....but it showed one in stock...so I figured if I buy it and it isn't there they would refund the $$$
Guess I just lucked out.
Here it is in all it's "foamy glory"

Well is it quieter now?
Haven't taken it out yet....but I expect not only a lowering of noise decibels, but a huge increase in horse power.
And, no more worries about the dreaded "rain leading to water intruding into the engine compartment, onto the engine, and into spark plug holes" problem.
And, added protection and piece of mind knowing that if I ever drive into a lake, river, or ocean, the foam construction of the engine cover will help keep Truck afloat...

I thought it quieted mine down. I would remote start my truck from my 3rd floor condo an hear it. The cover cut it down. I'll be listing mine on here when the bronco comes.

Drove it , and yes, engine is quieter.....
Gained at least 1/2 horse power by smoothing the air-flow over the top of the engine.....
But now I can hear the pronounced whine of my Yokohama G-015, 10 ply tires on asphalt....
Glorious sound, means piece of mind knowing I'm riding on premium heavy duty tires !!!

You didn't get that 1/2 HP you think, it is just that you can hear the fake engine noise better. :p

Nope, my "butt-o-meter" definitely noticed a 1/2 hp increase. If it's just a noise, it will cause a "tingling sensation" in my "nether region"

Then again, at my age, any tingling sensation there is welcome !!!

It is imperative that you install it, do not delay the installation and please post photos when done.
