bumpstop observations

so today i was swapping bump stops around.
took some measurements.

things i’ve noticed.
stock is a polyurethane foam, so soft and progressive.
icon is way harder, more of a traditional bumpstop.

the icon one is actually only 3/4” shorter. the notched area on the stock one im not taking into account because you can fold that part in with your fingers.

I showed this to my girlfriend and asked her what bump stop impressed her more.
The girthy one she said. Also that ring exhibits a class and richness the small one lacks.

its definitely there to enhance the firmness.

My guess is the poly one was cheaper. Matches the shit transmission.

Sorry, just venting and I'm sure this is the wrong thread. I found out this AM about the 10R80 class action lawsuits and I realized I'd been snookered again. The first time was the Saturn VTI disaster. Neither company was in the dark about what they were/are selling.
