Ford can succeed under current management should note that it now has changed the price for its EV flagship F-150 Lightning four times. It is astonishing that a major manufacturer should have such trouble setting prices for a major vehicle launch. (Here is every major automaker's plan to go electric.)
Reuters says, “The base variant of Ford's electric F-150 truck now starts at $59,974, excluding shipping and taxes, up nearly 50% from its starting price when launched last year.” Ford simply cannot get right the price of the components that go into its vehicles.

While I am not in the market for an EV, it is a valid concern to the business management of the company. I would assume that contracts for parts are set before pricing of the product.

Yeah, remember when Elon said we would have a Model 3 for under $30K? That never happened.
And which customers are Ford hammering? Very few are buying the Lightning.

If Ford was able to control all the factors that are affecting costs, then you might be able to slam them for poor planning. We all know that they don't have that luxury of control.
Where's the other Manufacturers with price increases? Pretty sure the electric Hummer took a large jump recently as well.
As for very few buying the Lightening? Its order banks are full and sold out.

What's ford being doing with f 150 ice and hybrids pricing? Battery prices are going down recently and the battery can be 40% of an EVs cost, sounds like it could be some greed in the mix.

Watch carefully next time CEO Farley pats the Lightning, each pat = $1k impending price increase.

Price of EV's keeps going up an now they announced our electric rate is doubling this summer. Going form 5.2cents a KW to 10.1. My buddy drove his Tesla Y on a 300 mile each way trip an said it was $16 to charge at a rapid station. If that doubles that's not far off for a tank of gas around here.

As more an more companies shift to building more an more EVs the cost of the batteries will continue to climb. This is probably just the start. Supply and demand.

We knew the prices would continue to rise with all the government incentive to buy an EV.

oh - so how do you explain Ford's recent drop in Mach E pricing (Jan 2023) as well as Tesla cutting prices in 2023 , everything I've read is that supplies of lith-ion batteries are on the rise and after a brief spike in prices in 2022 prices are once again on the decline. Plus new cheaper lith-ion tech such as lfp (Ford licensing from CATL) and also sodium ion batts is expected to continue to drive EV batt prices downwards.

Ford's numerous price increases on the Lightning seems to raise some questions as to what's really happening . From the US DOE :

FOTW #1272, January 9, 2023: Electric Vehicle Battery Pack Costs in 2022 Are Nearly 90% Lower than in 2008, according to DOE Estimates.Jan 9, 2023

Where I live, The People's Republic of Kalifornia, with PG&E as supplier.
Last bill paid .32549 cents per KW.
I won't be buying an EV anytime soon.

What do you think it would cost to charge an EV with these rates?

The average american drives around 30 miles a day.

My Estimate base on PG&E Rates

Lowest rate with high efficiency EV
EV Car - $2.50 for 30 miles

High rate with low efficiency EV
EV Truck - $10 for 30 miles

Alright here's some numbers

30 miles average daily drive divided by 15mpg(very low efficiency) and 26mpg(highest efficiency )

30 miles / 15mpg = 2.00 gallons
30 miles / 26mpg = 1.15 gallons

1.15 gallons * 4.846(Average cost gas today in CA) - $5.57 for 30 miles
2 gallons * 4.846 - $9.69 for 30 miles

Don't get me wrong, I love my turbo ICE, but these numbers seem off. Care to share your math?
I hope to see a PHEV to benefit from the low cost of driving electric without range anxiety or long waits at a charger...
