thank you !@9zero1790 - all of the vehicles you mentioned are on the Ford C2 platform. The Escape, Bronco Sport, and Mav all share a platform.

I was checking out the Rav4 PRIME until I saw the price tag and how long of a wait it is to get on. I believe there was a couple in the area where I live but they are probably marked up. While shopping around I noticed most dealers are at MSRP or above but not outrageous. There was a Maverick TREMOR in CT but I'm sure that will be beaucoup money. My wife wanted a Rav 4 Prime. 1 year ago you had to agree to $15,000 ADM to place an order in Las Vegas. Looking at their prices today it doesn't look like they've shifted their position on that. A 2018 Prius is a $30,000 car in this city. I hope for your sake the car market is cooler where you live. I'm going to be one of those guys flying to Iowa to buy a truck next time around...
It's been a headache looking at pricing for both MSRP, monthly payments, gas mileage, savings, long term, etc. PHEV's sound practical especially since the further you leave the town I live in it's suddenly hill towns and very far/few stations for gas or charging. And therein lies the rub for me; the Prime vehicles are PHEV so there is a perceived savings over even a normal hybrid, however, by the time they are marked up to the price of a base Porsche Macan I'd have to question why I'm not sipping a latte at the Porsche dealership. This goes back into the economics argument for you of whether or not you should downsize to a smaller vehicle from the Ranger. If you can do so at zero immediate cost, then sure. The economics of these "economy" vehicles sadly seem to only work out on a 10, 15, 20 year plan.
Same here. I got to check out a few Bronco's and Bronco Sports at the dealer I do business with and the Sports remind me of a modernized early 00's Escape. The regular Bronco's are nice but I can't see paying for a vehicle made for offroading when I wouldn't be rock crawling. Don't get me wrong I love the 2 door Bronco's.Not gonna lie, I like those bronco sports. I don't care if they're not a "True bronco", as if the current bronco is a "true" bronco.
I'm not sure I agree that they look like every other SUV. Forgetting that for a moment, have you ever driven or ridden in a Porsche anything? Once you have, it's all over but figuring out the finances. Most fun car I've ever owned was a boxster and ridden is was a 911 driven by someone who knew how to drive. It's been a headache looking at pricing for both MSRP, monthly payments, gas mileage, savings, long term, etc. PHEV's sound practical especially since the further you leave the town I live in it's suddenly hill towns and very far/few stations for gas or charging.
Yes the extended plans are what really drives the APR% and month to month costs. Then there's also leasing/financing.
I've seen a couple Porsche SUV's in the area. They look like any other SUV in my opinion.
Something tells me those broncos aren't built to last(other than they're a modern ford). They're a status symbol for flat billed hat wearing idiots.Same here.
