I've made my choice! ;)

I have heard that the turbo kicks in at 1800 RPMS, if that is true how is either eco or boost?

Guess I should have sent this to the original poster. Sorry.

This is what I know. Sport mode and a heavy foot and it's fun as heck.

There's a minimum RPM below which there's not enough exhaust pressure to make the turbo do anything. But once you hit the minimum RPM, the amount of boost the turbo generates is dependent on the throttle position. (It isn't always on full blast.)

Got it thanks...this is my first vehicle with a turbo. I am at 750 miles on the truck now, as soon as it hits 1000 I will feel more comfortable mashing the throttle. I have passed some people on the freeway and I must say this truck has some "get-up and go" and that's without flooring it.

The turbo might spool at 1800RPM with your boot on the floorboard, but it's definitely not producing much, if any boost if you're at 1800RPM and babying it.

I'm at 12000+ miles now, the mileage is anywhere between 23 and 25 depending on where I am. When I tow my camper, I get 12.5 or so which isn't all that bad.

Previous daily driver 2009 Dodge Ram bighorn crew 4x4 w/HEMI...so I'm not exactly 'light' footed. Getting a sold 10 MPG more than I'm used to. w/only 550 mi on Ranger 4x4 crew im averaging 22+ daily commute [2wd]. Have not done any sustained highway yet [cruise on]. I drive 16 mi each way with half on highway. One of the reasons why I downsized.
Absolutely no complaints on power, passing etc. only thing is getting used to it down shifting thru so many gears at stops...

Just filled up again 90 percent freeway still but for whatever reason this week the traffic was horrendous. Car fire, car flipped over, etc...so my 40 minute commute home was 1.5 to 2 hours on tue, wed, and thu. At any rate 300.1 miles divided by 13.768 gal equals 21.8 mpgs. Next week is my last week having to drive 67 miles round trip to work it drops to 38 miles roumd trip amd still 90 percent freeway.

Filled up today...311 miles divided by 14.048 gal. Is 22.13 mpg. I still had another 60 to 80 miles left on the tank.

What size wheels and tires do you have? Are you in an area with no hills? I drive very conservatively, but there are a lot of hills in California.
