So to start I don't live in boost or WOT. I drive pretty normally and admittedly take full advantage of the turbo while getting on the highway/passing, etc. I'm at a little over 3k on the odo and have been getting 16mpg pretty consecutively. I put in 89 octane (as opposed to 87) yesterday to see but time will tell, in one day it's about the same if not a little worse...... Ideas?

Weird...I have a 2 inch level kit and 33" tires and am getting 20.9. Sorry to hear man, I'm hoping its a matter of breaking in maybe? I also use 91 octane fuel.

Wow, not good. Sorry to hear that. I'm getting 24 to 25 mpg in all-round driving using 87 octane, and I've gotten that since it was brand new.

I'm getting 22.6 at about 1700 miles but very little stop and go driving. Have you tried calculating you MPG manually to compare it to the truck's calculation?

Same here, > 4,000 miles and 24.5 MPG 4X2. I can’t keep from stepping into it to get the turbo to kick in. Give me a toy and I turn into a boy .

Yeah, this is off my manual calculations which are pretty much in sync with the ECU calculations...

I average 23.7 over 10 tankfuls (actually calculated) about 3500 miles so far. No one would ever accuse me of being a slow driver, I usually drive 5 to 8 mph over the speed limit on average. I accelerate at a moderate pace unless I need to do otherwise, I also floor it when passing. It's possible that you drive more aggressively than you think you do, but it's also possible that somethings wrong with your truck.

Do you have the option for a higher octane maybe? Higher quality brand (Chevron, Shell, etc...) as has been mentioned?

I get 16 MPG driving in the city with a FX4, where I do most of my driving. Think lots of traffic and start/stop.

However on mostly highways I get 19-21 MPG.

Maybe a pcm flash or a tune....I can’t conceive that kind of mpg. I drive my FX4 like a bat out of hell and get 22. If I drive “normal” I get 24 and as high as 26 all highway...
