Why does the new R6G look bigger than the old F150?
Creesus Jist - How big do they need to make trucks today that this is the "midsize" market?

In ten years this will be your R8G.

The pictures comparing are somewhat deceiving due to different camera angle and scale. The dimensions are generally similar or smaller, with the wheelbase being 2 inches longer due to the front wheels being moved forward to accommodate future electric plans. I do prefer the 5g grille look but other angles are a very similar look.

I agree, looks like a Maverick too, so they have 3 trucks that now all look the same. I'm a little disappointed that my 21 Ranger will shortly be dated, just 2-3 years after I bought it, but hoping they might become more desirable as a result.
No one knows about the Ranger anyway so most people won’t think it’s dated.

I have to comment that I really-really liked my 4g...nice looking, reliable, ford tough, and no complaints whatsoever except the rear jump seats were a downer  Had strong reservations about letting her go, but after a few weeks in the 5g no regrets and like the looks even better!...would do all over again in a heartbeat after 2.5 years of ownership...

When I hear "old ranger" I think of my first gen 1983 Ranger that I had. And I wish that I still owned it too, Mine was. bit of a rare one I that it came from the factory with dual fuel tanks.
I wish mine came with two gas tanks! And a 500mile range :)

It is a classic look. Ever see those in a 4 door version? The rest of the world was lucky.
I ilked my 2005 SCab so much I refurbished and kept it. New drive train, AC, Suspension, brakes, and shocks. Basically a new truck. Sits proudly in the garage right next to the 2020 SCab Ranger.

I figure between the two, I'm good for another 20 years.

NHTSA crash regulations killed the behind the rear axle gas tank.

best,
Phil
