Looks like the 2023 Ford Maverick is already gone as soon as it arrived. Apparently, Ford is planning to close orders for its small truck, meaning you will no longer be able to buy one directly from the factory

They closed Lightning sales on several of their models knowing they couldn't build them because of constraints. Maybe they (Ford) finally learned their lesson from all the Bronco orders they took and couldn't produce. Better to have angry customers who can't order than ones that have orders and can't receive them.

I have been driving Ford's since out of high school. Had not Ford brought back the Ranger in US, I'd be driving a Tacoma or Frontier, NOT an F150. Maverick wasn't out yet when I got the Ranger.

I got behind a mustard yellow Maverick FX4 this morning. I
Looks so tiny.. and yuck. Not much ground clearance and looked like an Explorer with a bed and lowered at that. Aka SportTrac.

They should've brought back the Ford Courier name for it and made a 2 door sporty car with the Maverick name.
