Looks like the 2023 Ford Maverick is already gone as soon as it arrived. Apparently, Ford is planning to close orders for its small truck, meaning you will no longer be able to buy one directly from the factory

Misleading title me thinks. Probably closing orders on the 23 MY to start on 24 MY.

Maverick outsells the Ranger, they want people to focus on larger, more expensive larger trucks .

They closed Lightning sales on several of their models knowing they couldn't build them because of constraints. Maybe they (Ford) finally learned their lesson from all the Bronco orders they took and couldn't produce. Better to have angry customers who can't order than ones that have orders and can't receive them.

I have been driving Ford's since out of high school. Had not Ford brought back the Ranger in US, I'd be driving a Tacoma or Frontier, NOT an F150. Maverick wasn't out yet when I got the Ranger.
