Have others received a Safety Recall from Ford concerning the 2022 Ranger windshield urethane adhesion/bonding issue. I'm not too excited about having the windshield removed with the cameras, mirror and electronics connections. Have any of you had this done?

Mine was done. Zero issues. Was sent to a top notch local body shop and they worked with a glass installer. Less wind noise now.

Does this recall apply to all 22 Rangers or certain VIN's?

Here's the original thread on the recall and the article from it. Looks like the Ranger dates are from 12/17/21 - 4/12/22.

All of the Broncos that are subject to the recall were built between December 8, 2021 and April 12, 2022. The build dates for the Ranger are December 17, 2021 through April 12, 2022.

Ford will notify owners via mail starting July 11, 2022. Owners of affected vehicles may call Ford at 866-436-7332.

NHTSA’s website will tell you whether your vehicle has any open recalls that need to be addressed.

If you plug your car’s 17-digit vehicle identification number (VIN) into NHTSA’s website and a recall doesn’t appear, your vehicle doesn’t currently have any open recalls. Because automakers issue recalls often, and for many older vehicles, we recommend checking back regularly to see whether your vehicle has had a recall issued.

Not related to the recall, but I've had the windshield on my 2019 Ranger replaced twice. I had a chip in the windshield that turned into a crack. Safelite replaced it, but it cracked a few minutes after I left - they said it was a 'stress crack'. Replaced it again, and it's been good. Both times they recalibrated the camera and whatever else was needed. No issues at all.

Have not sent mine in yet, but I will eventually for at the very least hope for less road/wind noise.

I'm sure majority of shops that do this are experts and have the equipment to calibrate whatever they need to.

Safelite has always been very good when I've had to use them here and when I lived back east. Very clean and professional and I love using their mobile service. I had them come out and replace several windshields on my F150 right on the job site which was nice not have to take time off from work.

This has been my experience with them as well. I’ve had them replace two past windshields on various vehicles - no issues after replacement.
