Hey All!

First time posting here. Recently pulled the trigger on a Ranger after months of drooling.
Bought a ‘22 XLT FX4 in Desert Sand. Been loving all the builds here, excited to join the adventure.

I wanted to see if I could crowd source some insight. In one of my many “stand in front of my truck“ sessions I noticed what looks like a mount point inside a gap in the front front bumper. Guessing it’s lighting related? Any insight is appreciated.

Appreciate the help!

You have the tech package with adaptive cruse control. Think that is the sensor for it. You can get grills that fit down there and have the cutout for that sensor. If you look up on the bottom of the bumper in same location there are the mount points for the front license plate 6mm hardware

Yes that is the radar sensor for the adaptive cruise control. You do not want to block it.

there is at least one company that makes re-location kits if you really want to put something there. I can't say anything either way, but I know they exist. there are past posts about them if you're interested.
I believe recalibration would be required if re-located.
Welcome to the forums and nice truck by the way!
