Truck has 24k miles never pulled anything pulled a empty trailer 9hr drive broke down lost power now truck doesn't turn on. Obd reader says p2195 stuck lean O2 sensor bank 1 sensor 1. Tryed to clear worked for a couple minutes then didn't work anymore. Do o2 sensor go bad early sometimes? Kinda sucks I was 8.5 hrs out and no tools to fix. Going to call dealership tomorrow hopefully they can pick it up I can't tow it no flat tow package lol has anyone else been stranded with this code ??

Would bet a dollar that it's not the sensor. That is likely a side effect code of another issue.

Chances are of it were unplugged it would show an open code. With that said I eould still recommend checking the connection. It should be farily close to the turbocharger on the Exhaust side. Another possibility is low fuel pressure. Again it would most likely throw a code.

I'm going with low fuel pressure. Especially with a few that had bad high pressure pumps already.

Most of the time (in my experience) a lean O2 code is due to a vacuum leak. Chased one down on my '99 4.0 OHV, was the upper intake gasket. But any small leak could set the code.

most gdi cars will set a code as there is a pressure sensor. Can't say I know about Ford but it should be the same.

While I have had bad gas, it had nothing to do with a vehicle. That said I have heard of getting contaminated gasoline in a vehicle. Years ago I had a friend have engine trouble with his car shortly after filling up. When tested, his tank had about 25% water in the fuel. The lesson I have heard is never to fill up if you see a tanker refilling the inground tanks. It tends to stir up the nasties at the bottom.

that's what happens when you start using the strategic petrol reserve, you need to file a claim with the us dept of energy, they probably sucked it from the bottom of the cavern where all the dead bats are rotting away.

that sucks but there have been cases where gas stations have been sued for this, worth getting the dealership to verify the cause and maybe use social media to see if any others have been impacted, $1,300 is a chunk of change.

Who knows how sensitive these trucks are to water. I know older vehicles that can handle a gallon of water and run rough for a while but won't completely shut down and limp mode ? if they are super sensitive to water or moisture I can see the cap less gas filler being the next problem because if that flapper brakes and it rains I'm back at a $1300 bill again ??
