Only if you help me pay for my truckMy fault for assuming that was your point with the ditch digger comment.
Again though. Why should the "uneducated" ditch digger pay for part of the engineer's degree? Or even, why should he pay for the engineers' new Mach-E?
Better yet. I entered into a loan agreement for my Ranger and you're a fat cat government employee.Wanna help me pay for my truck?
He is, I imagine the three of us have alot in common... Well, besides he drives a gmc canyon...

See, we can agree. You pay your debts, I'll pay mine. Simple stuff, really.Only if you help me pay for my truck
Would it better if you had a check box on your taxes where your money only went towards the programs you supported?
Ohh that's not a bad idea... I agree to pay my taxes but the money goes to these programs. If a certain program doesn't get enough public interest it gets cancelled...
Nobody is perfect. He is, I imagine the three of us have alot in common... Well, besides he drives a gmc canyon...
Except for me I'm perfect.See, we can agree. You pay your debts, I'll pay mine. Simple stuff, really.
I'd prefer my government perform the duties assigned to them by our The Constitution. Once they do that we'll we can talk about the "extra" stuff.
Nobody is perfect.
If they keep it up we'll all be living in Aunt Kamala's and Uncle Joe's basement.@D Fresh, doesn't everyone live in their moms basement?
It should be noted that this is all in fun, and I don't live in my moms basement... I am a fully functioning adult male.... With a child and partner (and she allows me to live in the same house, shockingly).
It is...If they keep it up we'll all be living in Aunt Kamala's and Uncle Joe's basement.
On a somewhat related note. Since we're here.
What's the point of calling your wife or girlfriend your "partner?"
Is that how you introduce her to people?
Weird.It is...
We're not married, and don't have plans to get married, but we're in a committed relationship.
Shrug.
Plus, it triggers people almost as much as me putting he/him in my signature block. LOL
OkWeird.
My old lady would slap the snot out of me if I called her that.
Gawd, I wish. No.
So, is sending $60 billion to Ukraine theft? How about the billions we have sent to other countries over the years while we can't (won't) give kids free school lunch? How about bailing out the banks, insurance co. and GM, is that theft? What's not what federal loans are for?
Drinking?
Have you been to school? Do you know that good portion of your student loans is allocated for living expenses and dolled out to students as a check from the "finance office."
What do you think most college kids do when they get a $1000+ check?
This is not some I walked up hill both ways to school stuff. This real life. There are consequences for your choices.
Why shouldn't the government help? Because it's theft, pure and simple.
This is a regressive tax. The are literally taxing the poor to help the rich.
In 2022 34% of American adults have bachelor's degrees. In a lifetime men with bachelor's degrees make $900k more than those with High School Diplomas.
Even if all loans were taken solely for actual school costs it's simply unfair to ask the janitor to pay for the accountants school.
It's wealth redistribution from the poor to the rich in the ultimate form.
The solution is certainly above my head. But I'm no fan of corporate welfare either.Gawd, I wish. No.
I do advocate for Disney to give every employee a large severance package before letting them go, and making the state takeover billions of debt. LOL
But that's a different topic that I could go on for days....
The way I look at it is this - the reedy creek district has every utility in house (except electricity). They maintain the roads, the utility distribution system and do it probably better than the government, and for less money.... Just let them be.The solution is certainly above my head. But I'm no fan of corporate welfare either.
I'm sure that you follow this better than I, but from what I can see it remains to be seen if taxpayers will have to foot any of the bill.
Hopefully the powers that be structure the solution as such.
Not a fan of any of that. So, is sending $60 billion to Ukraine theft? How about the billions we have sent to other countries over the years while we can't (won't) give kids free school lunch? How about bailing out the banks, insurance co. and GM, is that theft?
You think making $125K a year is rich? Anyone making more than $125K is ineligible.
