Also ran across these as well
285/65r18
Toyo at3
Seller says 80% left (obviously I don’t know much on tread depth/what to look for in a used AT tire)
$400

Those look more worn than mine with about 20k miles on them. According to Toyo's warranty mine have about 70% life in them.
As a followup to that post this is a pic if my AT3 tread at 20k miles.

Those you posted definitely have more miles and the tread pattern looks more like the AT2s to me. Here's what they look like new.

That little ridge that connects the outside lugs in your pics is pretty deep down in the tread.

Perhaps he meant that they are 80% gone.

Did my weekly scroll through Facebook marketplace and came across some 265/70r18 bfgoodrich ko2’s. Guy is asking $400 and I “haggled” him down to $300. Says he’s only put 10k on them. This a good deal??

So either hes full of crap about the mileage, they have another issue or the wife is dictating the sale and you are getting lucky, k02's do wear like absolute crap and are fairly shallow, however when they are good they will tear through just about anything with you being out less than 100 bucks a tire you may as well get some good use out of em then take a page out of taylor swifts book when they wear and get some new ones.

Also wondering about unsprung weight. I have Nitto trail grappler 285/65r18 and they weight 68lbs where these ko2’s weigh like 56lbs. Will I notice a huge difference in fuel economy, acceleration, ride comfort? That’s about a 50lb weight difference
not huge but probably noticeable for me going the other way, stock hankooks to 35's and beadlock wheels (not locked cause I am lazy and don't rock crawl) I noticed a difference in power and definitely fuel economy took a 2 to 3 mpg hit however I am fairly sure the rolling resistance of going higher diameter and width is the primary factor

If those tires pictured are rated for 50k miles... yea 10k miles my ass....
in fairness everyone I know and have seen that has k02's says they wear very fast and fairly badly they are a tire thats really great when they are in good shape but just like the hot girl who peaked in high school they go downhill fast...

Simple Rules:

1. No meet ups at a residence except the vary rare circumstances the item in question is large, heavy, and requires inspection prior to purchase (fridges, safes, large furniture etc etc)

2. No late night meet ups, regardless if using a well-lit parking lot.

3. If your spidey senses tingle, eject - its not worth it.

4. If the price is absurdly low for a new in the box still sealed item (and I ain't talking good deal pricing), chances are its stolen.
Also stay strapped and know how to use said strap even if you live in a dystopian state *cough cough* california and can just carry like a knife or something its better than nothing also make sure people know where you are and how long youll be there you can never be to careful

maybe that’s why they’re priced so cheap? Having a les Schwab buddy come with just to make sure I don’t get f’d over. Obviously I don’t know much when it comes to tires
make sure when you go that you have people who know where you'll be and how long you'll be just to be safe also if you got a gun I'd bring it or if not even a knife is better than nothing there is no such thing as being to careful especially when its a stranger and there is cash involved.

A great place to get some new tires is over on the Bronco forum. Many there are selling them with little to no miles on them. There's all sorts of sizes on there and some with wheels for not much more than these used ones you're looking at.

https://www.bronco6g.com/forum/forums/wheels-tires-brakes.67/
Yeah not exactly the way I got mine but we had someone who bought a bronco sasquatch badlands trim which has the upgraded suspension wheels and tires (badlands comes with everything else sasquatch normally adds) only to promptly turn around and swap out the wheels tires and suspension lol I got my full set of 5 for 1500 and they had like 33 miles on them lol

Now that I’ve read through all of the comments I think I should break open the ol’ piggy bank and just get new tires at this point. Then I don’t have to worry about the actual condition of used tires. Now the big question, what tires do you guys run? My top three are Nitto ridge grapplers, toyo at3’s, or the ko2’s but I know everyone has a difference in opinion (just like the tailgate dampers, but let’s be honest the people who don’t use dampers don’t deserve rangers ?)
So do you go offroad if so how much and how intense is the stuff you go through also you said you had an hour commute (I feel that me too) is it highway mostly or city and how important is nice road feel and mpg

I’ve had my fair share of blow outs with passenger tires as well as commercial

last one in my f350 was maybe 5-6 years ago, was about 5 am after plowing for 26 hours straight, everything gets new tires now,
commercial use isnt a fair comparison either also the tires that a f350 vs a ranger get are very different

I've only had 2 tires blow on me it was in the span of 3 days very unpleasant one of them was old and hit a curb dodging an idiot on a skateboard (college campus) so I replaced them then promptly had one of the brand new ones blow up on me cause of some lovely knife work by a miscreant good times lol
