It is a new caliber created by Federal specifically focused on concealed carry. https://www.federalpremium.com/30supercarry.html

It is obviously a .30 caliber bullet around 100-115 grains, and is loaded pretty hot. Generally speaking, it should have slightly more penetration than a 9mm, with slightly less expansion.

The key selling point is increased carrying capacity, since the round is around 8mm versus 9mm. That adds up when we are talking higher capacity magazines. My shield has a 13 round magazine and a 16 round magazine. The picture is with the 16 round magazine, which is easily concealable.

There is lots of debate on the internet and around the community, some gatekeepers think it is dead on arrival, while others like myself are excited for new innovation.

Most of my pistols and carbines are 9mm, so I'm a huge fan, but I will say it is an older military cartridge that was not designed for civilian concealed carry.

Another reason why I do not think it will be DOA is that Federal is the one who created the round and is pushing it, not a niche firearms manufacture.
thank you ! good to see stuff happening with ammo.

I suppose it'll be REAL good if ammo is relatively inexpensive and plentiful.
but that can be said for any caliber.

Not sure if this counts but I traded a handgun with RMR and holster for this. Buddy has owned it for 2 years and was still in pristine condition. The handgun I traded him probably had a couple thousand rounds through it.

Once I figure out where I want it in my garage I'm more than likely going to delete the caster wheels and put in pedestal mounts as I really don't have a need to roll around.

I want to do a vinyl wrap on it for fun I just want to consider what design I want to do cuz that Chrome has to go for sure

AZ (along with several others) has already declared the state a 2A Sanctuary State. Unless things change here in Nov I'm not going to even worry about these articles. Besides SCOTUS has finally been doing their job and overturning many bans that have been found to be UN-Constitutional and this will just head there.

This one is even more shocking! It's to political to post here but look up the newest one on Youtube (from Mr Gunsngear) where the ATF is going door to door asking to check owners guns. It was in Delaware and the guy had just purchased 2 guns together which does get sent automatically to the ATF. It's "supposed" to stop straw purchases  and his guy did go and get them and show them he actually did purchase them. Sorry but there's no law saying you have to show them anything. If they don't have a warrant tell them they're trespassing and close your door. Everyone today really needs to know the laws on what they can and can't do and they're being OVERstepped.

I see and understand your point.
But my concern was poked by the idea it would become illegal under the ban to HAVE our black rifles. Meaning in some fashion confiscation. And was wondering just how I actually would react to such a thing. I have literally the utmost respect for law enforcement personnel...how would I respond to that knock on my door if they were to ever be sent to take my weapons? Would you read about me in the news: Arizona man dies in standoff with police...", these same police I respect immensely.
I literally found myself asking this morning if I truly would die on this hill. I do not yet have an answer.
Compounding my dilemma is my standing as a Christian, as we are taught to obey the laws of man as long as they do not contradict the laws of God.

One more thing, this almost also prompts me to want to "panic buy", although I'm not panicked but you get my drift, more magazines and ammo while I can just in case we do see a return to the former ban of the Clinton yrs with a grandfather type caveat as opposed to a requirement to relinquish our weapons.

Perhaps this is, as you say, much ado about nothing, but it did push my buttons in an odd way this morning. But it is early and there's much of the day ahead to pray and reflect on what my real convictions are and if I'm strong enough to stand on them as I tell myself I am.

Thanks for the space to vent. I appreciate those if you that frequent this thread. Yall are a steady bunch and this world needs steady right now.

I'll look that up when I get to work for sure.

It's even more frightening the guy was so easy to comply with these guys. I get it they (the ATF) can be intimidating but everyone needs to know their rights and this was a clear violation of them. It's also good to have a lawyer so in times like this you can make a phone call and hand the phone to the ATF and let them discuss this.

Speaking of I really need to find a good one out here as I had several good ones back home. They were all good customers who I had their personal cell number for times just like this.

Yeah I get it these articles can rattle you up very easily just like the video I was telling you about. I do have a few good customers who are LE, one is in Phoenix and the other here in Goodyear. I asked them both about this same thing when the new administration took over. They both laughed and said they and no one in their dept would even do this. Now would they if push comes to shove, who knows but being here in AZ I wouldn't worry to much just yet.

I didn’t work with one officer who was in favor of this. However, like you said, if their job is on the line, who knows ??‍♂
