Tuner issues

Hey guys I have an issue. I bought a tuner a few weeks ago and I decided against using it. Have you guys ever sold it with issues/without issues? I'm probably not gonna return it, but wanted to know if I could sell it to a friend of mine with a Chevy Silverado, and it still work? Or is the tuner only for a Ranger, since that's the info I used when I bought it from Torrie? Thanks guys.(and yeah I'm too lazy to reach out to Unleashed ?)

OBD tuners are fairly universal. The Tunes loaded on them are typically vehicle specific sometimes down to the computer code and/or VIN. As long as the actual tuning device supports the vehicle, they can buy it but they will have to purchase tunes to be loaded on it for their specific vehicle. Most often it makes most financial sense to just by a tuner from the company providing the tune.

Depends on the device they used. Some of the SCT devices are ford/GM/dodge specific. I'm not familiar with the device the tuner you mentioned uses.

The Rev X is a SCT brand tuner and it will be Brand specific. So you have a Ford tuner that will work on on any Ford that SCT has created canned tunes for. If they don't support a specific Ford model you still may be able to get a custom tune from someone like Unleashed. The tune you got from Unleashed is Ranger specific and may even be year specific since Unleashed always asks for the strategy code for your ECU.
