I use Barkeeper's Friend to clean my stainless steel cookware. There's no way I'd use it on glass as it contains a LOT of grit.
Because it's designed to deep clean steel things.
https://www.barkeepersfriend.com/what-to-clean/
Does not contain any type of grit or abrasives.
If used properly it will not scratch glass. Proper is to wet the glass, wet a sponge, and shake a bit on the sponge and apply, not letting it dry. Rinse off.
Complaints of scratching come from those who just shake a lot onto a dry glass and go to it with a wet sponge. You just need a little to clean.
Have used it for many years and never had a problem.
But, too each their own...use only what you feel comfortable with. I still know some who use only water and newspaper to clean their windshields.

Until today I didn't know BKF made anything but the cleanser I use on my Stainless pots. Here's what's in it:

Item Description
Our original 1882 formula powdered cleanser still delivers premium cleaning power for stains on non-porous surfaces. Use it to remove stains from sinks and countertops, to cut through grease on oven door glass, and to restore shine to uncoated stainless steel and porcelain. BKF has multiple uses throughout the home – it can easily remove rust stains, tarnish, water spots, mineral deposits, and more.

Glass Oxide Abrasive, Oxalic Acid, Surfactant

I would expect the "Glass Oxide Abrasive" is the grit I feel when I use it.

McKee's 37 makes a windshield cleaner they imply is a cleanser.
wanted to get some, but it's pricey $25/8oz.

https://mckees37.com/products/2020-cockpit-glass-cleaner

also wanted to try BKF on my windshield... might need to try a spare piece of glass.

no matter what I do I just can't clean glass :crying:

Polished stainless Ford inserts. They match the polished areas of the wheels nicely. Darn A is 1/16" low. Have to figure out a way to remove it. Never try lining these things up in direct sun because the shadows disappear. Think I am going to return the damper because it looks like a Rube Goldberg patch and it Will probably just rust away up here. Count me out of the damper club until an integrated one is available. Mud flaps next.

So indirectly I did something to(for) my Ranger today. So early in the morning I like to do my washing and detailing. The issue I have is that the sun is beating into my carport which makes it hard to keep from getting hard water spots before I can dry. So I put up some bamboo blinds to keep the sun at bay.

I like that a lot! That is perfect and 2 cm would be long enough to go through the BedRug too.

Thanks for the perfect solution for my needs. =)
I've ordered the parts today and will post once done.

Thank you again Rob! =)

Installed the set of Seat Jackers I got yesterday. Used the 4 pieces, 2 per side for a total of 3/4 inch rise in the front, which was perfect for me. Seat is now reclined just enough that my knees are a bit higher than my thigh's...very comfortable.
Install was on power seats, no problem with the install, but a few tips...
Trim, at least on power now sits the 3/4 inch off the carpet. Not really noticeable unless you look directly at it. The trim is attached to the seat, so if the seat goes "up" so does the trim.
Their directions indicate to loosen the rear bolts, but you have to un-screw the rear bolts till just before they come out, to give the front seat mounts enough room to come up. There are studs on the bottom of the front seat mounts that match up with a hole in the floor, and the seat has to rotate back enough for those studs to not only clear the floor, but high enough to match up with the holes in the Jackers.
Also, on mine, I had to trim a bit of plastic off the inside trim piece as after raising the front, the seat moving forward would snag it.
Not a hard install at all...just a T-25 torx for the trim screws, and a 13 mm socket for the old seat bolts, and a 15 mm socket for the two new bolts supplied with the Jackers.
Photos show the gap after install and the trim I modded .
Again, this was on my power seats...manual may not require your trim to be modified.

Great pics and super helpful install notes. And you like the two, eh? I was debating that but will also use two since you like it.

Thank you for doing this and forging a path for me, I was being timid about doing it, especially regarding the trim, but your pics tell me that I'd never even notice.

Thanks for the trimming tip, I'll post once I do mine on the manual XL seats.

Test fit the trim before you do any trimming...you may not need to. My seat rails are probably different than the manual.

Great idea and I'm going to look at it after work tonight (now looking and doing are two very different things for me, but you're getting me amped up to do it!).

The manual seats in the 2022 XL are very different, I think ...

Two major factors:
  1. it's a lower trim level, and
  2. it's the latest year and had some deletions.
