A month or so ago I went back to my OEM style Lund flares from the Bushwacker Extend-o's. I just couldn't stand the cut out for the gas lid. First world problems I know, but the lack of symmetrical just nagged at me.

Does anyone make extended flares that include a continuation piece that goes on the gas door? Kind of like the RTR front bumper flare extensions that attach via trim tape.

@Msfitoy think it would be hard to 3D print one?

It could be done...but a digital scanner would be necessary to determine the surface that needs to be filled in place over the gas door...and then a swing check be made to see if a part can be designed and created...not too complicated but need a scan of the surrounding surfs to begin study...

Yea I think a small portion of it would need be tapered to allow for hinge clearance. The other alternative is to attach it with heavy duty velcro tape. lol

Or how about magnets? Is the gas door steel or aluminum?

You can always go old school...lump clay on the door and carve to shape, make mold and cast part...

Hey Jack...to be real, the best and most accurate way to do this (if I were doing this) is to scan and recreate the areas around the part desired. The rest is very easy for me to execute a digital representation of the part desired...the second way as I mentioned is to physically clay up a part on the actual truck (with the flairs) and sculpt it to shape and then remove/mold/cast part...very tedious and time consuming....this requires a "sculptor/modeler", not my job description...so we're back to step one...need a scanner....

If you have a 3d printer(or plan to get one) then maybe you could make one yourself and make the necessary changes to the fender flares you already have. Just a thought

For just the fuel door I would suspect you could do it just fine with most printers out there. The fender flare on the otherhand I would just but and modify
