AZ MUSTACHE …..
Dave , i’m about 10 minutes behind you, I received and installed my Bugflector 2 hood shield, and I am with you, thank you very much to the videos posted to show me how to do this without problems, only problem I had was using my left shoulder, recovering from rotator cuff surgery. Tough getting above 90° with my left hand. But you know I wasn’t gonna just sit there and look at the box. A few more pics,

Smiling because it's a FFRanger! ?
I set all my Siri Shortcuts to say "...Ford F*cking Ranger." For instance: "Siri, start my truck." Instead of, "Start command sent," she comes back with, "I'm starting your Ford F*cking Ranger."

Siri doesn't like me. Every time I ask her a question her response is " David, That's not nice".:lipssealed:

I have the same bug deflector but I’m having a hard time with the install. Oh wait Ford hasn’t built my truck yet. I think it will get here, I hope.

Tonight I fiinally installed the $20 vehicle interior led light bar kit I got from the Aldi bargain section few months back. Was changing my cabin air filter (the XL models don’t have a glove compartment door damper to unhook btw) and thought “eh might as well while I’m down here” lol.

The cyan color setting matches the factory cyan lighting decent enough I think. Really like how it sets off the pedal covers from @RCMUSTANG.

Hi Folks,

Today the Ranger was pressed into service to head to our Good Friends daughter and son in law's place so I could remove a cook top to get ready for new kitchen counters. Son in law is in tough shape having at 65 being diagnosed with stage 4 Lung cancer which spread to his spine and weakened it to the point it is now fractured. Daughter called most of the electricians in Tucson and they were booked through the end of May, so I got the call to pull the cook top... No idea of what was involved but it took about 20 minutes to pull the 240V wiring and remove the cook top.... I will also do the reinstall of the new cook top after the new counter tops. Son in Law likely will not make it and complicates things for Daughter. I will follow their lead on installation.. Old cook top will likely be in Mexico by next week via our friend and our gardener, Jesus M.

Best,
Phil

Just installed the AVS Bugflector II. It was the second easier mod (yes the damper is #1) I've done and took about 15 minutes to instal. No hood adjustment needed and it looks great, wish I did this long ago! Thanks to all who posted the videos and links to help me spend more money! lol :curse:

I want to know who started the trend. Maybe it's just the weather and the bugs are out, but I feel like a large number of people just ordered one. Myself included.

It's subliminal. You can scroll past the same thing day after day then all of a sudden  Bam! You realized you have to have it and next thing you know it's at your doorstep. lol

Hey Phil, sorry to hear about the son in law. Sounds like a rough time indeed. Very difficult for your daughter i am sure. But, as terrible as stage 4 often is, hope exists. Doctors are not always correct. In 2003 my mother was told she had six months to live with stage 4 cancer. She went through hell I could not handle then and likely cannot now. Mom is a not one to give in or back down, never was. I call her the Command Master Chief some times lol. The six months to live expired long ago as did the 3,5, and even 10 year benchmarks for survivors. Mom is still going strong today, while her oncologist has retired. a couple times a year I have to take her for blood transfusions and infusions. Hope things improve for your family and that your son in law is a fighter.
* just noticed you said good friends, not your own son in law or daughter

Emptied the catch can. No sludge this time and the amount of fluid is way less than last time. Only half the millage but well less than half the amount of fluid.
