I don’t have the performance grill but on mine, no. You just had to remove the close out panel under the hood that covers the gap between the grill and radiator

Good , I absolutely destroyed my original grille getting it out , those damn tabs and my fat hands didn't mix well... I think I'm gonna get that kit soon and maybe tie in some side vent lights...

This is on my to do list without the lights. But I know much of a PITA it is. Will wait to do other mods (Looks at the pile parts already amassed in the corner of my garage)
