Is everyone else's insurance skyrocketing too?

Mine will drop by 10% when the 6-month policy renews next month. Although still paying more than I did in Texas because of Washington's credit rule law regarding insurance rates.

our vehicle insurance (2020 Ranger & 2015 Focus) went up $300 for the year.
I deal with an independent agent, I called to see what is going on & if we should
look for another insurance plan (changed companies 4 years ago). I was told most
companies are raising rates due to new & used vehicle costs, parts costs plus the
area you live in may have seen an increase in accidents. add to that is rental costs
if you need one till your ride is repaired.

Every 5 years you should shop your car insurance around anyways. I do have been with geico for 20 years across 3 states but I still shop it around. Your cars change, rules change, values change. etc.

Also some companies are in a specific state by name only. IE a third party does the insuring. so the rates are higher for that company in that state.

I use an independent agent in my town who represents several companies. I just call him up every two years or so and ask if he can find me a better deal and usually he does.

USAA is great on the cars , but now the house coverage is going crazy , but homeowners insurance is ber zerk with all companies .

I'm limited on where I can get homeowners because even though my house is in excellent shape and been completely rewired it was built in 1934. There are insurance companies that won't touch it because of it's age.

I use an independent agent in my town who represents several companies. I just call him up every two years or so and ask if he can find me a better deal and usually he does.

The last Time I used an independent agent I had to get a lawyer, involved. That guy let me drive without insurance for 2 months while telling me I had it. car insurance is easy to manage without that extra hassle and expense. he twice deposited my payment into the wrong company accounts blamed me for the error. I had something like $1,000 in missed payments and fees racked up.

Never trusted an independent agent again. remember they make money from you. So you pay extra for their services.
