Do NOT miss Titus Canyon! One of my best runs! Not technical but great variation of canyon and high ledge trails!

HI Wil,

Looks like you encountered what we in off road racing called Poof Dirt. Talcum powder consistency that is hard to cross depending on how deep. You likely would have never made it unless you had very wide tires and crossed at an angle...problem is it is hard to recognize. Poof dirt has stranded many racers...aka Silt beds. Worst is when it crusts over... You walk on it and think...this is hard pack....but not really until you try your vehicle and it breaks through.

Glad you had someone to pull you out....

Bring lots of water to pour under your tires. It hardens the sand!!! And you may need it to live!!

BTW you’re lucky it wasn’t a forest Ranger that pulled you out… huge ticket and an ass chewing..
