I’m hoping a retractable step like the Tacoma has comes out for the Ranger. AMP Research makes one similar for the F150 so I expect one will come out sooner or later!

BESTOP makes one called the TrekStep! Got one and installed it. Loving it fir its convenience, although at $289 it’s not exactly cheap!

I reached out to AMP today on when a step would be available for the new Ranger. They said unfortunately, there will not be a Bed Step for the new Ranger vehicles. There is not enough area in the rear for the Bed Step to install and function properly.

Guess I will have to look at other options.

Might need to send them the video above! That;s very similar to their Step for the Tacoma!

I had one on my Tacoma and it was no tail dragger! Actually was frequently very useful!

When I reached out to Amp, I got the same answer. I picked up the Weather-Tech receiver step. This is the Weather-Tech step.

That’s more of what I’d call a Bed Step for reaching stuff in the bed with the tailgate closed. You can’t use it with the Tailgate down. The Amp step for Tacoma works great as a way to get up onto the Tailgate and into the bed.

I like it but need a step that will work with the tailgate down

I was hoping to get something like what is on my coloradio ? in the bumper corners and I use it all the time weather the tail gate is down or up ?

maybe if and when my Ranger ever gets here I can remove the colorado bumper and save it for the ranger ? and hope the ford dealer never notices it missing

Thx, TN has many “vanity” plates. I actually got “double 7’s”.

Yes I would like a step that worked with the tailgate open. I would also like one along the bed to ease reaching in.
