The RTR grill can be ordered without the bezel which allows you to Use your color matched factory bezel. That’s what I plan on doing

I think for manufacturers black plastic mostly works. Good for most trim packages and a blank slate for those who wish to color match.

Like Jack, I'm not the biggest fan of the quad color scheme. White, Magnetic, silver, and black.

But while Jack is obviously embracing the black, I'm trying to embrace the Magnetic and eliminate the silver.

Currently I'm thinking customcargrills.com insert, with my shell filled and repainted Magnetic along with RTR vents painted Magnetic. I like the RTR grill too, but not sure about the lights and it would need to be painted.

Honeycomb would look much better.

I've seen and considered that.

I just don't like the RANGER embossed into it. So, fill, sand and paint original or paint RTR?

Who knows, cosmetics are last on my list.

Looks like it blocks more airflow than the stock grille.

Surprised there hasn't been any comments about that yet..

Guess you better shoot an email off to RTR and inform their R&D department of your "My Uncle once told me, so I'm an expert" science because their airflow looks worse than the knock off.

This is about as bad as the thread not long ago on panel mounting on the passenger (silver) dash trim and the make-believe science argument that ensued without actually looking. Turns out there is nothing behind the panel, the air bag is up under the dash roof. Its mostly hollow core above the glovebox.

If its Amazon and it arrives and fits like crap just send it back at no cost.

There are some gems out there from chicom factories that are worth every penny. Others clearly were made by some poor 5 year old at a labor camp and they go right back.

I just realized I can fabricate my own metal strip across the front of this grill and put a giant "5 STAR TUNING 4 LIFE" decal across it.

Maybe down the road, but at that price point I want to give them a try and see if I can make an amber only DRL function on it.
