These guys are awesome and straight shooters. Patiently waiting on a Bronco to be delivered to them at a great price. Now, FORD .... If you have any reservations, you can let them rest. Which they offered this earlier - already pulled the trigger on my Tremor and enjoying it around town trying to fill my Bronco Void.

2022 Ranger Wait times are 3-4 months and I'd anticipate a little longer than that on initial model year startup.
I think your timeline is unrealistic at best and quite possibly impossible these days. I have been waiting on a 2021 Ranger Lariat SCREW 4X4 for 6 months so far with no end in sight. According to Ford, the order was accepted four months before the build began with the Blend date being 8/12. Here I site over two months later and Ford is still NOT indicating it is built and ready for shipping.

Good luck getting a truck in 3 to 4 months! As a buyer, at this point I don't believe any timelines anyone says.

I certainly understand your skeptical attitude. We certainly had stories like this as well, but our more recent orders have gone more smoothly.

For instance, we placed a retail order August 9th, it's scheduled to be produced October 12th and eta to the store is November 10th.

Certainly, that can fluctuate and depending on what Ranger you order, but I don't think the timeline is unrealistic.

Not to shout down a man who lives and breathes automobile sales, but could you notify me in Nov. on this delivery?

Also, I watched you on bronco forum and will say I like what your doing for sure.

If I could ask you one question, though, can you confirm that some people are waiting longer than others on ranger orders based on dealer allocations? Any truth to this?

Hi Zach,

I have a few questions:
1. I live in Arizona. Would I have to pay Iowa sales tax and would I have to title in Iowa?
2. Would I have to be present at your dealership to take possession of the Ranger?
3. If the answer to question 2 is no, then is it possible for me to arrange my own shipping and have it picked up at your dealership? This would be me arranging shipping and not you.

Thanks!
Jim

You would pay sales tax in AZ and get title/reg in AZ as well. You are not required to pay sales tax in Iowa.

I purchased my Ranger in RI and I am from NY.

If this is true, this would be a real good deal on a new Ranger. Not only would the 3% under invoice smoke any dealer in the Phoenix area, the sales tax would just be the AZ state sales tax at 5.6%. That would be a 3% savings on sales tax (no city or county tax) if you purchased from a dealer in Phoenix. Additionally the doc fee would be $300-$400 less and no worthless add-ons. You got my attention!

You can also pay AZ sales tax separately (not rolled into your loan) like I did to save even more. I had to pay 7% in NYS.... funny enough RI is also 7%. NH is 0%.

Yes, but Ford has installed a COVP program. What that stands for is a Customer order verification program. This allows dealers to send in a driver's license, buyers order, and order number to Ford and generates additional allocation based on that verified retail order above normal stock allocation to help expedite sold orders.

The only case where a dealership wouldn't get that is because they didn't go through the process or there's so much retail demand it outstrips supply (that isn't the case with the Ranger, but is on a Super Duty).

The dealership through this program will receive the allocation within 30 days, but in theory if a dealer already has an allocation it could be 15-30 days faster.

Idk if that makes sense. That might be too in the weeds.

1 - as mentioned above no Iowa sales tax.
2. No, most of our customers do take delivery at the store and drive home, but it can be done remotely.
3. Yes, you can ship, we can help coordinate, but ultimately that's your responsibility.

Jim, this is why I was going to travel to IA for my Bronco. Aside from the savings it was the honesty and upfront communication from Granger. No dealer around here can hold a candle to them! Plus with the savings you could always use that money to fly out and have a nice vacation driving home.

Dave, I could not agree more. I have family in Omaha that I would like to see, so a road trip from Iowa back to Phoenix could be a possibility.
