Good for Nissan to bring a new truck to market. Their timing has been good. Where the Tacoma and Colorado are just developing their next Gen trucks. The 6G Ranger is stumbling to bring it to market. Ford's struggling to get the current Ranger built. Hey, Ford you pissed off another customer.
not necessarily pissed - I know it’s the chip shortage causing delays in these builds, just didn’t work out for me.

Hello all. Much to the displeasure of some of you on here, I’ve decided to go a different direction and buy another brand truck instead of waiting until “possible December” for my ordered Ranger Lariat - I’ve been without a truck since mine was totaled in March so I decided to pull the trigger elsewhere.

But! Good news maybe for some of you - I am an idiot and bought a lot of stuff for my would-be Ranger prior to getting it and am now trying to sell most of it back. I have everything that I’ve gotten listed below for the price that I paid for it - prices are negotiable, just DM me and we’ll figure something out if anyone is interested. I can send pics too if you’d like - most of it is still in the original shipping boxes but i can open and reseal if you’d like to see the actual product.

For the record - I still really do like the Rangers a lot!

You just couldn't have done this last Thursday when I bought my new, one could you? I'm always a day late and a dollar short, especially now after buying one from the dealership!

Yeah its been a whacky couple of years. The supply chain is in disarray. Ford should have learned from the Explorer launch. Easy for me to say. Just wondering how Nissan is able to produce a vehicle and get it to the customer. Have they limited any of the features on the Frontier. ie things like the start/stop feature, with the reduced chips. I see GM did that to get the vehicles out.
Fords has too much on their plate. Seems like the Mexico plants are doing ok. Although there are week long shut down's. They seem to be getting out the Maverick and Bronco Sport. By the way Love the Nissan 400Z. Combines beautifully modern touches with past designs. They also use their own motor. Toyota cheated with the BMW motor in their Supra !. From what I have read CEO of Nissan, Carlos Ghosn over reached Nissan with expansions. Nissan seems to get screwed by the CEO contracts.

Sounds like the Frontier met the most important requirement for you right now, availability! I was targeting the ‘22 Frontier up until 6 months ago myself. Things changed. Good luck!

I am on the fence myself. I looked at a Nissan Frontier myself this weekend. Very impressed with the Frontier. I am waiting on a Ranger order too and don’t know if I can wait much longer. Good luck with your Frontier

Sorry to see you go, however on a funny note, an * on your ads could read " truck not included"

At the risk of being chastised by this group - I went with the 22 Frontier Pro-x. It was the only other midsize comparable IMO for the things I’m looking for in a truck. I ended up getting a really good deal on it which brought it down to almost exactly what I was going to pay for my Ranger
I hope you enjoy your new truck! :sun: A man gotta do what a man gotta do.

We'll see the same thing with them shortly. They stopped production on the previous version early to save parts but those will soon dry up. Interesting article I read yesterday on how Tesla is the only automaker who has been able to pivot during this, largely because they're new enough that they weren't using the old chips the other makers are begging for. As a result, Tesla's use of modern chips, coupled with a more active/involved software engineering department gave them the ability to use firmware updates so that they can use various chips - ie, whatever they can get their hands on. Neighbor ordered a 2022 Tacoma as soon as the books opened; he's already getting Ford-like run around on delivery. I have a feeling 2022 will be much worse than 2021.
