Two days ago, Discount Tire replaced my tires at no charge, although I paid almost grand for them originally.
Yesterday, I had the Bilstein lift struts installed for the front end.
After I got the lift done, I got a text from my sales guy saying they got a few Rangers in. So, I went down there this morning about 8 and got home about 5:30 with a brand new Tremor. Sticker was 43 but they had market value sticker which made it 46.5ish, which is nothing but a profit for them no matter what they try to BS you about.
They tried to get me to pay that keeping, in mind that there aren't many out there and there's not much negotiations going on. I told them I flat out refuse to pay that. I said I'd give them the 43 because I know there's no negotiations to speak of off the sticker price but I wasn't about to pay them an extra $3500 markup yes for profit. I told him I got good info on the Ranger forums so don't BS me. I said I know what these guys are paying for these trucks. I won. Thank you to anyone who contributed to saving me $3500 plus or minus.
They gave me 29 for my truck which really pissed me off after I put those brand new tires on and those Bilsteins struts and shocks. They wouldn't budge off of that even though that's the price they would've gave me had I not had those done. Oh well.
The finance guy was the biggest jackass I've met in my life and I told my sales guy I was giving him (The Finance guy) the review he deserved in the comment section.
What really sucks is you cannot give a bad mark on the survey for anything that the sales person had nothing to do with because they will lose their bonuses. But, you are allowed to tell it like it is in the comment section. This is just wrong Ford!!! You do not need to hold those sales guys or girls responsible for a bad survey that only gives bad marks to the finance guy or dirty bathrooms or price paid for a vehicle or cleanliness of the vehicle!
Why do you hold them liable for that?! It's the same in the service department. If you get a crappy technician that ruins your vehicle and you give a bad survey, it falls on the service writer!! That's just wrong and if these manufacturers do not correct this themselves, there need to be state laws about this since they won't police themselves. It wouldn't surprise me to see the dealerships are behind this because they get to keep bonuses from these guys. Anyway, here's a couple pics I took when I got home.
I know, I know. I said I have no need of a 4 x 4, but after some of the posts you guys posted yesterday on the show me your face "Post those beautiful faces, don’t be shy" thread, it sure made me homesick for country life and fishing holes and trail riding and this and that and this and that, that make owning a 4 x 4 worth it.
So, a tailgate damper, spray in bed liner and tinted windows are my first priorities.
