Has anyone had their carrier bearing go out after only 5000 miles?

Mine intermittently squeaks/squeals around 20 mph and goes away around 45 mph, the coming and going of the squeak is part of what is baffling me. Does anyone have any experience with this?

Mine was replaced under warranty just recently. I had around 30,000 miles.

Hi Steve,

Okay..maybe terminology disconnect. Carrier Bearings are in the rear or front diff and Carry the ring gear and side side gears... Center Bearing is the bearing between the two driveshafts.

Best,
Phil

Interesting.
I always heard that they were one in the same (the bearing supporting the two drive shafts)
