My 2019 Ranger is named “Horatio” in honor of Horatio Nelson Jackson, the 1st American to make a cross country trip by automobile, in 1903, before there were roads that crossed the country.
Anyways, this past weekend we took Horatio on the Broken Arrow Trail in Sedona AZ and he did an amazing job!
Horatio is a 2019 Ranger XLT 4x4 but no FX package. I was accompanied by two Tacoma’s and a Jeep Wrangler Rubicon, all with lockers. Horatio made every obstacle with zero issues and kept pace with the other vehicles with ease. I have only a 3” lift via a Fox 2.0 and 33” tires and was amazed at how capable the Ranger is. Looking forward to more Overland excursions as the weather cools down here in the desert!

Did you make it up to chicken point and down devil's staircase? Been wanting to try this trail for awhile.

Yes we did. Unfortunately my GoPro battery dies right before we did the Staircase, but we made it with no problems other than a few scrapes in the steps of my running boards. Time to install frame mounted rock sliders to eliminate the if the steps being too low for good clearance.
