Fx4 shocks over standard 4x4 ones

There are a hundred threads on this question. The consensus is that they both suck. The rebound dampening is much too soft which causes the truck to bounce after taking a compression.

Don't waste your money looking for FX4 shocks if you have the standard suspension. Although there are probably plenty of users on here who have them lying in their garage willing to give them away.

I personally replaced my non-FX4 struts/shocks with Eibach Pro-Truck from Stage3Motorsports. The truck actually rides like a truck and is much more confident and stable when turning.

Replace the FX4 shock with anything else. Your truck will then ride better. These are my thoughts.

Yep, I have Fx4 shocks in my garage that you can have. But, I wouldn't do it. Get something else. I used Ebach 2.0 Pro Truck.

Negative. I put the front struts on the middle setting. Giving it about 1.5" of lift.
