Original Thread Here: Auto Folding Mirrors

Auto folding mirrors. Folds closed when you lock the truck. Unfolds when you power up the truck. Regular operation with stock switch. 20 minute install.
The switch bezel pops right off.
Unplug the connector.
Plug the module in between the switch and connector.
Tuck everything inside.
I used an add a tap to #30 for the constant for the red wire.
Connect the blue wire to the thick gray with brown stripe (lock).
Stick the module on the inside of the left side of the dash and tied up all the wiring. Close up fuse panel and you're done.

NOTE: THE ADD A TAPS SHOULD GAVE THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION THAN PICTURED.

I am assuming the green wire from the kit hooks to where you have the other tap shown? It is also green/ white. Is that correct?

No, that is if you want it to unfold everytime you unlock the doors. The way I have it is fold when you lock and unfold when you turn on the accessory/ignition.

So you leave the green wire alone and just loop it up out of the way?

Unless you want it to unfold everytime you unlock.

29 and 30 are both 30a fuses, just throw a 10a in the add-a-fuse and you should be good.

Do we even need the fuse tap since it has the 5 amp in the harness? I’m having a issue locating a micro 2 fuse tap locally
if you plan on leaving the inline fuse intact, then no you don't need a fuse in the add-a-fuse. There are a few other options such as a 'fuse tap' like this

Actually, it's too tight for those. Believe me, I tried one before I paid for another set of add a taps.
