I agree. The way I read it is that it is "scheduled" to ship in 18 days and arrive at the dealer on 9/28.
It could also mean that it takes 18 days to ship and arrive at the dealer on 9/28.
It likely means that "we have no clue when it will ship and we just throw out a date to you can stop calling us"

Exactly this. I would throw an extra 10 days on to their "estimate". I'm pessimistic especially since I've seen others here order well after me and receive their tremors before my truck was even built.

I don't think anybody is being shady about dates, the truck will literally sit on the factory lot for a number of days until the right train heads your way.

It was just a joke to get likes and happy faces so that I can make sure my messages/reaction score ratio is greater than a 1 to 2. Of course adding this messages cause that to be reduced so please like this message to off set those numbers.

It now has shipped. No detail on which rail company and thus no car information. Guess palsapp is not the shipper as that did not work

Informed by the dealer that it is at the rail yard waiting to be truck to the lot. Said they were trying to get it expedited to maybe get there by friday. Now having buyer's remorse looking at giving up that much money all at once.

Yours is a Lariat like mine. They don't have chips for them. It will sit for a long time. Practice your mediation techniques. Mine has been sitting at the plant since 8/24 with all the other Lariats that are built except for some electronics that need chips. The XLTs are shipping as they are built because they take fewer/different chips.

Ughhhh, Thanks alot. LOL Didnt want to hear that..... I wonder if the allocation of chips has anything to do with dealer allocations as far as being a priority or if it is first come first serve? I wasnt aware that Rangers were affected by the chips? I thought it was just the Broncos and F-150s in KY?

I feel your pain. I ordered 5/18. Ford Customer Service only told me mine fully completed other than the mystery chips and was scheduled to ship 8/29 but is waiting on chips with no ETA when they will be available. The XLTs use different electronics and whatever chips are needed for them are available (for now) and the XLTs are shipping per the normal production process. The Lariats appear to be the only ones affected right now.
