Wanna go to a 17x9 offset +15 w/ LT 295/70R17 BFG tire. Right now I have a 1 inch spacer 17x8.5 +55 offset w/ LT 285/70/17 BFG tire. No rubbing. I have fox 2.0. If I change out to what I want what kinda issues will I face that needs to be modified?

Check out Stangman570's thread where he fit that size, although on a -12 offset which is much less favorable for clearance than the +15 you plan on. I intend to do the same size on +1 offset myself. I figure you should be prepared to go to at least 3" of front lift and removed or modified/aftermarket intrusion beams, and likely trimming or removing the plastic blocks under the fender lining behind the rear beams. You will be outside your fenders and may want to consider flares as well depending on the look you prefer. But without them, be prepared for some debris flying over the sides of your truck. Good luck!

Tony,

I’ll echo the same warning as @SVTPaul. Be prepared to remove/modify/replace the anti-intrusion beams and possibly trim the wheel well liner/plastic blocks.

I have 275/70/17 General Grabbers on 17x8 +15mm offset with a 2-1/2” level. I have 1/2” clearance on front beams and 1/4” on rears at full lock. I am installing ReadyLIFT Anti-Intrusion Beams because I know I will likely rub under compression. I wish I had gone with a 3” lift.

It’s your shallower lift that gives me heartburn - you’re just that much closer to the wider part of the tire’s arch. If you had a 2-1/2” or 3” lift, you’d likely get away with the beams only.

@SVTPaul @DukeCanBuildit thank you gentlemen. Yes these 2.0 are giving me heartburn lol. I have fender flares on already I’m getting them wrapped gloss black as we speak. I’d like the wheel to be 1/4-1/2inch past the flares, I have an AFN bumper coming in 10-12 weeks, want an aggressive stance but not doing too much. My dealership trimmed the the plastic blocks and liners last week, they ordered & installing intrusion beams for this week all on their wallet. I’m going to try and push it with the 2.0 if not My dealership was telling me about fox 2.5 race series that’s adjustable I hope I don’t have to go that route

If you have the fox 2.0 they are adjustable, just going to 3" might change the ride/stiffness as that will require more preload on them. But I have read posts on here from guys that have done it. And said they were okay. Maybe try 2.5" and see if you clear? Also, if your goal is for a little poke beyond flares you'll need more aggressive offset than +15mm unless you intend to keep spacers, but that doesn't make much sense if changing up wheels. Probably zero to -12 offset depending on which flares and the desired look.

Thanks Paul. Spoke to them about adjusting them .5 they said they will lmk. They don’t recommend it bc or ride quality. I’ll probably go with a plus 0 offset without spacers. The wheel a liked came in only +18

That's the offset I plan (+1 mm) with 3" Eibach kit, and hoping to get flush to flares (RTR's). Good luck and post up on how it goes!

I run a 295/70r17 Geolander MT G003 (33.6") with a 17x8 +5mm and the bars have absolutely got to be removed. I have Readylift beams in the mail, but will likely have to send them back as I'm not sure with even them that they'll fit. I can turn full lock but it 100% rubs the rear plastic liner and RokBlokz mudflaps at full lock. I run a Fox 2.5 DSC front coilover at factory preload, I'm going to add some preload this week and see if I can get away from some of the rub.

Which bars are you going with? I liked that the Readylift have been structurally verified via FEA but it doesn't look like they offer enough offset to clear 295's so I plan on the Fabtech.

Actually my dealership ordered them I believe they went with Fab, I remember them complaining about the price lol. I will verify tomorrow

Just wondering if you were successful with the 17x9 offset +15 with 295/70R17? I wanted to do the same.

So how's this setup working out so far? Did you get the rubbing prob resolved? I have Eibach coilovers and am thinking of going to this size/tires. My wheels are 17X8 +25 though
