They use a record rack to store dishes? lol These are for storing vinyl records. ?

Um yeah... design is pretty much the same. Must be coincidental due to plates and records similarly sized. But to be honest I've never seen that kind of storage device used for records. Must be a cultural thing (since why would you store records on a dish dryer anyway?)

For dishes:

For records:

Or smaller one:

Edit: Seems to be a thing abroad. But hey.. figured out why..

We were backwater at the golden time of record holder and by the time we'd civilized the world had moved on to C-casettes.

Figured it out.jpg

Edit2: Took a walk down the memory lane.. and yeah, we were a backwater.

1940 -> 1950 = Basic survival from WW2. About quarter of the population moved from areas lost to soviet union to plots government took from previous owners.
1950 -> 1960 = Ok.. we still used horses to get to the capital city... by population we could call it a captital town. Average number of cars was 1 per town.
1960 -> 1970 = Hey, first concrete buildings and all! (First major concrete element city block created on 1964! Some other countries were buzzing around moon at that time and we got few concrete houses on farmland).
1970 -> 1980 = People got cars and moved to cities. Civilization started.
1980 -> 1990 = Um.. reasons beyond me.. I just cant recall the decade. music and blinking lights?
1990 -> 2000 = World leader on ICT, electronics, machinery, shipbuilding etc. Joined EU.
2000 -> 2010 = Total f.up 70% of companies either crashed by poor management, government politics or sold out
2010 -> 2020 = Gradual decline of everything
2020 -> = Ranger Raptor became available

Fun fact: I know how to ride a horse and I've been known to whine on back seat of a car why we're on some shitty concrete block district looking at some ugly buildings. :) But still.. I've never seen a record holder.

Or the smaller 45 RPM records, A and a B side. Some of us could not afford the full album.

That was back in the day when all too often only 1 or 2 songs on the album were decent and the rest were just filler.

The iTunes a' la carte model at least means that now you don't have to buy the whole album just to get the song you like.

FEMALE INTERVIEWER:
So, General Cosgrove, what things are you going to teach these young boys when they visit your base?

GENERAL COSGROVE:
We're going to teach them climbing, canoeing, archery and shooting.

FEMALE INTERVIEWER:
Shooting! That's a bit irresponsible, isn't it?

GENERAL COSGROVE:
I don't see why, they'll be properly supervised on the rifle range.

FEMALE INTERVIEWER:
Don't you admit that this is a terribly dangerous activity to be teaching children?

GENERAL COSGROVE:
I don't see how. We will be teaching them proper rifle discipline before they even touch a firearm.

FEMALE INTERVIEWER:
But you're equipping them to become violent killers.

GENERAL COSGROVE:
Well, Ma'am, you're equipped to be a prostitute, but you're not one, are you?

The broadcast
went silent for 46 seconds and when it returned, the interview was over.

Ah, if only it were true, instead of just a joke (a quite funny joke, though!)!
