Traded my 2019 for a 2021 yesterday and am curious if anyone with the Ford Tune has traded/upgraded and moved the tune to the new truck?

I'm assuming I can call Ford Performance on a weekday and get the details. Just curious!

I was wondering the same, thought i read somewhere you can, i think you have to send the tuner back to ford performance and they reprogram it, so you can use it on a different vehicle ,but of course calling them you could find out for sure.

IIRC the Ford tuner Mycal is the same as the Livernois Procal. They are linked to your VIN and I know with Livernois you can send it back to them and have it reprogramed to your new vehicle. I would "think" the Ford one would be the same but of course Ford will charge you another install fee.

yeah, Ford seems to be unwilling to help this far. Boy are they rude on the phone too… ugh. Guess I’ll spend my money elsewhere…

If they are being rude, I would easily purchase an unleashed, livernois or zfg racing tune without a doubt. I also have the FP tune, but I have heard the support from other tuners is so much better.

Retired, work is a four letter word.
That's interesting, I have a 5* tune and a X4 tuner, all I have to do is return the vehicle to OEM tune to unlink the VIN, then email the new vehicle ECU strategy to 5* for an updated tune for free in most cases.

Maybe you could try calling back one more time and hopefully get someone else who's more willing to help you. If not I would look at Livernois and Unleashed and ZFG racing like Brandon suggested. I can tell you the phone support from Livernois has been nothing but A+++. Again this is my personal preference but I like being able to talk with someone so phone support was the selling point for me over Unleashed. When there's a problem (which I always seems to have) I like when someone can verbally walk me through it but I know it's not a big deal for others. I've heard nothing but great things about Torrie also and his emails are quick for a response.

One thing I really like with my Livernois tune is you get all 5 of their tunes to try. You can flash back to the 87-89 tunes easy enough if premium gets to expensive. I know Unleashed will adjust your tune and send you whatever you need but I personally like having everything loaded so I can change it myself as needed.
