Thank you for the thoughts on PSI. You have my attention. I was planning on bumping up the PSI to 42 cold. These tires are not LT, if that makes a difference. If I overlooked something, I'm always ready to learn something new or look at a different perspective. Give it to me.
Even a P rated tire is set to a lower psi in general. Stock 30 PSI across the board. When I ran 265/70-17 Prated tires I still ran at 30 PSI cold. When going to a bigger tire sometimes the required PSI will go down depending on all sorts of conditions. Remember the rule of over and under inflation.

It sounds like 30 PSI is your preference. I can't remember the rule of under/over inflation. I know what the golden rule is and the rule of three is but you got me on that over/under inflation rule. I do know what over inflating a tire will cause and do to it. I do know what under inflating a tire will do to it and cause. OMG. You got me. Help me out here. Talk to me like I'm five. I need it plain and straight. You won't hurt my feelings. I'm just not as smart as everyone. I need it straight. I'm ready.

Hi Jim,

Underinflation. The outsides of the tire wear as the middle is cupped from touching the road. Over Inflation, the center of the tire wears and the outside edges never touch the road. If you have oem tires then run the door label inflation...it gives you the proper handling and the best tire wear.

Best,
