  1. Remote start, does the truck stay running after the doors are open and then I have to hit the started button or insert the key? our 2015 Lexus GX460 turns off when you open the door.
  2. At night with remote start, do the headlights come on as if the truck was started with the key? nice to have a lighted way to the truck
  3. Can you manually turn off the air bags off road or is it automatic for roll over? my 2006 GX470 has a button to turn off the side air bags.
  4. using Navigation and With Car Play, can I use the car navigation or does Apple Maps rule. I know some other makes, when you phone is hook up, then Apple Maps are the only ones you can use.
  5. Does the headlights come on with the wipers on. I like this feature, if not can it be programed?
  6. Are the high beams LED. not a big deal, they can be added.
  7. Off road and lowing tire pressure, can you reset the pressure reading or will it keep beeping. dont want the truck beeping at me when I drop the tire pressure to 15 lbs.

To answer both one and two the running lights will be on when you remote start the truck and when you open the door the truck will stay running. Also the truck will initially be set for 15 minutes on run time and you can extend that time via the Ford Pass App.

That I am aware of no you cannot turn off the airbags at all. When you go off-road you are simply off road. I have yet to be in a situation where I have rolled over but I do know that if you get into a rollover you're probably going to want your airbags anyways.

When using Android auto or apple carplay you can exit the system on the screen while it is still running and go to the navigation on the truck.

Because of running lights the headlights will be on when the vehicle is in Drive during day or night. When set an auto all the lights will turn on when it gets dark enough. So when you have your wipers sprained it should not be an issue.

For the headlights the only time you're going to get LED headlights is if you have a Lariat. The XLT and XL model only have halogen bulbs. You can change out the headlight bulbs for LEDs if you would like as plenty of people including myself have done such. There have also been others on here that have found headlight assemblies from lariats and installed them.

Last but not least that I am aware of if you lower the air pressure for off-road it will keep the light on but it will not beep at you the whole time you are driving. If anything it'll beep at you when you first start the vehicle and you just have to get past the notification and then you are considered okay. I had to drive almost an hour to work one morning while having a low tire and it did not beep at me at all during that time with the exception of when I started the truck.

Hope this info helps you out

I'll just add that yes, the headlights (and all the lights) will turn on when the wipers are on. I'm not sure if the headlight switch needs to be in auto or not for that to happen (probably noted in the manual, so that'd be a good place to check for that answer). I have my DRLs turned off, so I agree it is a nice feature for when the wipers get turned on.

Also, here's the thread regarding upgrading halogen bulbs to LED as the previous poster noted. I have also swapped all my bulbs (expect low beams) to LEDs, and I'm happy I did so. The stock halogens leave quite a bit to be desired in my opinion. You'll get flack from some people on here about it, but in the end you're pretty much in the clear if you choose a good fitting set of bulbs.

Enjoy!

Now repeat it all back to make sure you've heard and understood. (ATC reference) haha

I have used Apple Maps, Google Maps, and Waze thru CarPlay. They can be selected manually via the touch screen, or just tell Siri which maps to use for directions.

I believe there is a way to disable the tpms entirely via forscan like I could with my ford focus.
The light gets annoying if your doing offroad air downs or swapping between winter and summer tires. I lowered the tpms trigger on a f250 before because ford wants you to run like 80 psi in those which is ludicrous when running empty and putting at 40 psi would trigger the light till I changed it.
Just an option.

Save all the safety B.S. responses, don't care.

I would not know if the headlights come on with the wipers. In AZ we never use the wipers, cause it never rains. The only time I use the wipers is to clean off the dust with the washers. ?

4. Someone said that you can exit Car Play and use the Ranger's built in Nav, which is incorrect. Maybe there's something in FORSCAN for that, but when I have my iPhone plugged in, the only navigation I can use is Apple Maps, which is perfectly fine, I prefer it anyway.

Last February was the first and only time I've ever been to AZ. Went to Phoenix/Scottsdale for a few days and it rained for like 3 days straight. Our one Uber driver had absolutely no idea how to use windshield wipers. He kept turning them all the way on, then off, instead of just using the intermittent or slow wiper speed haha.

The past 2 winters have been rainy here. It's not just the Uber drivers it seems most people here have no clue how to drive in the rain here! If you watch the weather on local tv they make a big deal about it like it's some kind of miracle drops falling form the sky. Then there's always that one idiot who has to try and go across a flooded road and gets stranded. They show 2 hours of how the FD had to come out and rescue the moron which is usually some middle aged soccer mom in a Honda Civic. lol

Hahaha yeah I totally get it. I lived in Las Vegas for a year and it was the exact same way there.

I don't have Factory navigation on my truck so I assumed. Thank you for correcting me on that.
